How Sonic Met Tails

It was a really a really stormy, really gloomy day on Mobius. Sonic the Hedgehog, Mobius' greatest hero was on his way back to his home after a long and tiring fight with his greatest nemesis Dr. Eggman. He was passing an alley on his way back to his home, when he noticed something lying behind a dumpster. His curiosity got the best of him when he decided to go see what it was. When he got near the dumpster, he noticed it was a yellow fox cub. Sonic wondered where his mother would be. He took a look around to see if he could find his mother but that was to no avail. Sonic was soon filled with concern and worry for the little guy. So he picked the young fox cub up, and then ran as fast as he could to his home. Once Sonic reached his home at the Mystic Ruins, the yellow fox woke. His eyes slowly opened, after which he started taking a look around. "Where am I?" the fox cub asked. "You're in the Mystic Ruins little buddy." Sonic said. At the sound of Sonic's voice, he looked up to find he was being held by Sonic. "Please don't hurt me." The little fox said, while trying to squirm out of Sonic's arms. "Why would I want to hurt you, little buddy?" Sonic asked. Tears started streaming down the little fox's face before he said, "Because I'm a freak." "You're not a freak." Sonic said, as a look of concern sprouted on his face. "If you put me down, I would show how I am." The fox said. After the fox finished his sentence, Sonic put him down on the rough, gravelly ground. After that, the fox turned around, to reveal two long, bushy tails. Sonic got a confused look on his face before he said, "I don't see anything wrong with you." The fox gasped at the sound of that. "You don't have a problem with me having two tails?" He asked. "Why would I?" Sonic asked. "Everybody else does". The fox said. "Everybody is wrong to give you hard time about your tails, if anything it makes you twice as special. The fox burst into tears at the sound of that. "I never thought I would see the day where somebody was nice to me." He said. "Hey, hey. Enough of that. No more tears. You don't have to worry anymore because you're coming to live with me." Sonic said. "You- You mean it?" the fox asked. "You know it, little buddy." Sonic said with a smile and thumbs up. The fox then ran up to Sonic and gave him the biggest hug he could give. "Thank you sir, thank you, thank you, thank you." The fox said before letting Sonic go. "No problem. Anyways, you got a name kid? I can't just keep calling you little buddy." Sonic asked. "My name is Miles, sir, Miles Prower." Miles said. "That's a cool name." Sonic said. "What's your name mister?" Miles asked. "Hey, enough with the sir and mister stuff; I'm only nine years old." Sonic said. "Oh, I'm sorry. What should I call you?" Miles asked. "Sonic. Sonic the Hedgehog." Sonic said with a grin. "It has been really nice to meet you, Sonic the Hedgehog." Miles said. "Just Sonic." Sonic said. "Ok Sonic." Miles said. " I know what you need is a bite to eat." Sonic said when he heard Miles' stomach growl. "Yes". Miles simply said in response. "Well, come on Tails let get inside and make up some grub." Sonic said. " Why did you call me Tails, Sonic?" Tails asked with a confused look on his face. "It's a nickname I just came up for you. Do you like it?" Sonic asked." "Like it? I love it." Tails enthusiastically exclaimed. "That's great. Now lets get inside and get warm." Sonic said before the pair walked inside of his house. That is how Sonic the Hedgehog met Tails the Fox. That is how the undying friendship between them started.
