The sound of shoes clicking against the pavement and a steady breeze was the only thing that filled Alexa's ears. Her nose tip was cold and her fingers felt like ice blocks. A poof of smoke appeared as she took a breath of the cold winter air. Small snowflakes felt down from the grey clouds that filled the once blue sky. The snowflakes dropped into her hair, making it wet as it slowly melted. She looked down at the ground looking at her black boots as she walked into something. Falling on her bum, she looked at the 'something'. But the 'something' was a person. A guy, to be specific.
"L-lexy...?" he said, his curly black locks of hair full of snowy white drops bouncing up and down as he lowered his head to look at her.
"Oh my god, Shibbu!" She squealed with delight as she got up, brushing the snow from her behind. "What are you doing here?"
"Well, y'see..." he murmured nervously, blushing a little and scratching the back of his neck, "I'm on holiday, and thought that while I'm here, I might see if I could find... you..."
"So... yeah!" he laughed, a cute smile spreading across his face. "I thought I might not find you, on a busy day like this!"
Alexa smiled back, then laughed and blushed, finding it hard to believe that Shibbu was right there in front of her.
"Y-y-yeah! I-I mean, it's really nice to f-finally meet up with you!" she stuttered. She was finding it hard to speak, through the suprise of seeing him, and the cold weather. "S-say, I don't suppose you want to go and g-get a coffee or a hot d-drink?"
"I'd love to!" he said, grinning.
They started walking across the street towards the mall, talking about what was going on in their lives, and what they'd both done so far this winter. They shared their many stories of snowball fights and hot chocolatey milk, laughing and smiling, both warm and fuzzy inside.
Reaching the shopping centre, they turned right and headed towards the local starbucks.
"Hey, um, Lexy...?" Ryan said, his face red with shyness. "Are you still cold?"
"Um, yeah. a little..."
"Tell you what. Close your eyes." he said with a smile. Alexa did so, her mind flashing with a million possibilities, each and every one bringing a smile on her face.
Suddenly, she felt a warm pair of lips touching hers, and a pair of arms wrapped around her body. Blushing in suprise, she kissed back, their lips around each others', their embrace going on and on.
Ryan's warn lips slowly parted from Lexy's, his hands still wrapped around her body. He nervously blushed, his ocean-blue eyes staring into hers.
"Um... heh... sorry if that was a little unexpected..." he stuttered, trying to explain himself. "I... um... well..."
Alexa's face reddened. She was speechless, her stare lost in his loving gaze.
"It's fine. R-Ryan, I..." she said, "I... l-love you."
Ryan's arms parted from behind her back, instead coming to hold hers.
"I love you too, Lexy."
Alexa let out a tiny squeal of delight. She pounced on Ryan, hugging him tighter than ever before.
"Ohmygod ohmygod ohmygod! I love youuuu!" she said in a fangirlish manner.
"Lexy, be careful, I might-" he stammered, shortly before they fell to the ground together, causing people around them to look at the commotion.
"Oops." Lexy whispered under her breath, causing them both to burst into laughter.
Ryan gently bopped her on the head, before jokingly muttering "You dork."
