This is a teaser. I wrote this story when it was on . That was 6 years ago. The site closed down and lost all my chapters on this story. I hardly remember all the details. But I gave up writing not knowing how it would end. If you enjoy the beginning I will continue the story and finish it.
The leaves crushed beneath her feet as she walked home from a long tyrant day of school. Feeling the cold breeze run through her long silky hair. Seeing the autumn leaves blow over the side walk on this chilly evening. The color of purple and pink shone across the mountain top. Amelia brushed back her hair feeling the chill on her face as the day ran through her mind. "they ignored me as usual, they walk pass me and don't see me. They refuse too see me" she whispered the last part to herself getting a weird look from the elder neighbor that lived on her street. "at least he saw me" she muttered under her breath.
He nodded a greeting to her in his usual friendly neighborly way. She nodded back and continued to walk up the block to her house. To see that old brick building that sheltered her for 16 years. She smiled snuggling up in her black hoodie wiping her feet on the mat and heading inside. To only be cradle in the arm of my worried mother.
"Amelia! Your finally home! Its late! Its almost sundown. You had me worried." Her lips quivered as it looked as she was about to cry again.
"Mom..Im fine. I was in detention and had to stay late" I lied.
My mother expression was pricless " young lady! You cannot be misbehaving at the moment. Not with all the crime happening." She let out the last sentence in a whisper.
" Mom. I was kidding. I just took the long way home." It slipped outtta my mouth before I could close it.
" you went through the woods! She was horrified because..
" that's where they found that girl body! She shook me like I was lifeless and couldn't breathe. "mother! To correct you. That body your talking about happened in the next county over." I reassured her.
"I know that dear but its just so horrible. The way she was drained and torn to shreds. Its too gruesome" she shuttered from the thought. " mom it will be okay. Im home and I will be home right after school everday. No detours. I promise." My mother smiled knowing I be safe and be here for her.
I gave her a hug as she told me dinner be ready soon. I walked up the stairs to my room. Putting my backpack on the chair and opening up the blind to let in the evening shadow dance over my room. "what a beautiful night to indulge into a little horror, She took out a book and started to read. Hearing the evening news play downstairs in the den.
YOUNG FEMALE BODY FOUND IN SANDER HEIGHTS. THE BODY DRAINED AND THE YOUNG GIRL WAS SAID TO BE FOUND IN PIECES. AGE IS 17. THE IDENITY IS UNKNOWN. COULD BE MISSING GIRL SLYVIA DENTAN. MORE INFORMATION IS NEEDED AT THE MOMENT. PLEASE STAY TUNED.
"hm..sander height is in the next county over. Oh my.." she chuckled under her breath.
