Matt was home watching TV when there was a knock on the door. He opened it and found Mimi standing in the rain.
"Mimi! What are you doing here? I mean I'm happy to see ya babe, but I thought you weren't coming in until tomorrow. This is a great surprise!" Matt said leaning over to kiss his girlfriend
Mimi only put her fingers to his lips and gently pushed him away.
"No Matt. You know why I'm here. We can't meet each other's needs, especially when we live half a world apart from each other. We both know it, even if we don't want to admit it. We can still be friends though. I don't want to say goodbye forever."
"You're soaked. Do you want to come in?"
"Yes, thank you."
"Ya know if we didn't live so far away and if I didn't have the band and my job keeping me so busy, maybe it could still work..."
"I know, but I don't want you giving your dreams up for me. They were right."
"Who was? About what?"
"Our friends. I heard Tai and Sora talking about the fact that our relationship wouldn't last very long."
"Ya know what, they were right. But they were wrong too; our friendship will never end."
"When I first met you I knew we were meant to be together, I guess we thought so too, just in a different way."
"Then let's change what happened."
"What? How?"
"We'll meet over again. Hi, my name's Yamato Ishida, but my friends call me Matt. I have a band and a little brother. And you are..."
"Mimi. Mimi Tachikawa. Nice to meet you Matt, I just know we'll be real good friends."
"I agree."
"Hey, Matt!" Tai called to his friend in the park. "I hear you and Mimi broke up. Ya must be really bummed out."
"Nah. We're gonna stay friends." Matt answered
"That's what they all say, then it never works."
"Well we're the exception. Are you guys coming to our concert tonight?
"Of course! We're all coming."
"Welcome to our concert." Matt said on stage. "I've got a new song tonight. It's dedicated to a real good friend of mine. In fact its called Real Good Friends."
