Dedicated to my little sister helen because i know she loves them as much as i do

A carriage trundles down the cobbled forest path. At the front is seated a blonde haired young man, his beautiful smile lighting up the way for the horses. Inside the carriage two red headed brothers joke about one thing or another. A small blonde hugs his bunny to his chest and looks up at his cousin seated next to him in admiration. Across from them a black haired man pushes his glasses further up his nose and makes a note in a big black book, and a small brunette girl says nothing- simply enjoying the boys company. This is how I want things to stay- in this make believe world forever. But I know that it's only a matter of time before this beautiful carriage is nothing more than a rotting pumpkin.

I used to drop comments like this to you all the time. But you'd just look at me with your quizzical eyes, one eyebrow raised. After a while I gave up. There was no point in trying to be serious with you.

It was on these days I'd find myself tearing up- and I'd have to excuse myself early. I wished you'd follow me when that happened, the way you did when we were little (you were always playing the older brother with me), but you were always too interested in chatting to her. Our "Toy," you said. But I knew she was more to you than that.

It was on these times that I'd also find that the carriage was fading from my dreams- that you were fading from my life. I knew midnight was coming fast- the end of the line for my carriage dream, my one wish. You.
