I needed to take a break from writing so much Fire Emblem, so here's a Harry Potter one for you all. Implied GinnyxLuna.
The bed to the right had the sheets pulled off, magazines, random pieces of candy, some chocolate frog cards, and various other items found themselves there, all strewn in some random order. The pillows were gone as well, tossed onto the other bed, to the left.
Sitting in a fashion that let her arms and legs dangle off the sides of the bed, Ginny waited patiently for Luna to finish braiding her hair, who was sitting cross-legged besides her. The bed they were on was where the pillow and sheets were, all arranged so that the two had a more comfortable sitting room.
"Done. You can look now." Luna said, handing Ginny a mirror. The red head took it, and turning her head around in different angles to admire the new intricate hairstyle, smiled.
"It's beautiful, Luna. Thanks." Ginny said, sitting upright, only to fall back onto the bed with a loud thump, staring up at the ceiling of her room. Luna continued to sit in the same position, staring out Ginny's open window in the nighttime.
"Watcha' looking at?" Ginny asked, tilting her head back to see Luna's upside down face.
"The stars." Luna said, stretching an arm out, pointing to the dark sky with a finger. "Do you think, when we die, we become stars in the sky?"
"Huh. I don't really believe in those kinds of things." Ginny said, grabbing a nearby pillow and hugging it close to her chest. "But, if we do, you'd be the one closest to the moon. I mean, 'Luna', right?"
"Look who's talking. With your red head, you'd be the one closest to the sun." Luna said, poking at one of Ginny's braids. The two laughed, until an annoyed knock came at the door.
"You two girls, go to sleep! It's almost midnight!" Mrs. Weasley called out through the door. "Lights out!"
"Fine, fine." Ginny said, reaching over to turn off the lamp. The light went out quickly, and Luna fell back, joining Ginny on the bed. The two waited for a bit until they were sure Mrs. Weasely was gone, when Ginny spoke up again.
"You ever read those happily ever after stories?" She asked, turning over to her side, as to face her friend. "The ones with the prince charming and stuff?"
"Tons." Luna replied, facing Ginny as well. It was dark, so they couldn't see each other, but as long as the other was there, it was fine. "Do you like them?"
"I hate the way they end." The other girl said, pouting a little. "The heroine always needs the prince. Us girls can do fine without them!"
"Ha ha, I guess you're right." Luna said, smiling. "We can have a happily ever after without some sweaty guy next to us."
Silence passed between the two. Luna thought Ginny was finally asleep, until the tomboy spoke up again.
"We'll be rather far apart, once we're in the sky." She said, sounding a little sleepy. She suppressed a yawn, and snuggled deeper into the mattress.
"It's okay. I'll make sure to visit you on weekends and holidays." Luna said, bringing out a laugh from the other girl.
"Not just weekends and holidays. Every day." She said, closing her eyes. Luna closed her eyes as well, and touching Ginny's hand with her fingertips.
"Of course. Everyday."
"Promise?"
"Promise."
"Good. G'night, Luna."
"Good night, Ginny."
SPOILERS MENTIONED AHEAD. Didn't read the last book? Don't read past this sentence.
So yeah, I really hated the 19 years later thing. Where was my Luna and George? Albus Severus? What was Harry and Ginny thinking? Honestly. I don't like HarryxGinny as well, but that's just me.
As mentioned above, I wanted to see what Luna and George has been up to. How was George fairing in his joke shop without Fred, and missing an ear? Is Luna working in the Daily Quibbler now?
Argh. Must know...
