(A/N: Okay. This was a random idea that popped into my head. It's another angsty cova songfic. Yeah. I know. I need to stop writing them. Lol.

Okay. I don't own MEGAS XLR. Nor do I own "You'll Think of Me" by Keith Urban.

SUMMARY: Takes place after Kiva has left for the future. Coop misses her terribly, while she tries to sort out her own feelings. And, yes. This will feature song lyrics at the beginning of each chapter. Chances are, it will be a pretty short chapter story. Dedicated to Super-Veggie-San for being so awesome. ::grins:: And any flames will be used to toast marshmallows. Constructive criticism is appreciated. All I ask is that you are nice about it.

Enjoy.)

Chapter One: I've been Tryin' my Best to get Along

I woke up early this morning around 4am
With the moon shining bright as headlights on the interstate
I pulled the covers over my head and tried to catch some sleep
But thoughts of us kept keeping me awake
Ever since you found yourself in someone else's arms
I've been tryin' my best to get along
But that's OK
There's nothing left to say...

He tossed and turned for about an hour before deciding it was no use. He couldn't fall back into sleep. So he sat upright and scrubbed at his eyes with the back of his hand before glancing at the illuminated dial of the clock on his bedside table.

3:57 am. About an hour after first waking up.

Moonlight still spilled in through his window, bathing the room in a cold, silvery light. Night had lost it's appeal to him since she'd decided to go. He let out a soft groan before flopping onto his side and pulling the blankets back over his head in an attempt to fall back asleep.

But he kept seeing her. Her smile. Her laughter. Even her annoyance.

But why? Why did he keep seeing her every time he closed his eyes?

Jamie had told him it was love, but what did he know? Well... obviously a bit more than Coop knew, but still. His friend's notion both bothered and pleased him.

Could he have actually fallen for the redhead?

He knew why she'd gone back. Just looking at the man who'd come for her had been enough. He'd been everything that the other man wasn't. Well-toned, handsome and very wealthy had been Jamie's first impression. Stuck up and rude had been Coop's idea. And it still irritated him to think of Kiva's huge smile when she'd spotted him, and the way she'd flung herself into his arms.

Big surprise.

Sighing, he sat up again. It was no use. He knew he'd be up for at least another two hours to sort this thing out.

(A/N: Sorry. First chapter is kinda short.
