The Light to a New World

"Don't give up on hope." The words echoed in my mind, and I gripped my sword harder than ever. I saw the horrid monster leap at me, and I sliced upward with all my strength. The monster roared in furry, but it wasn't enough to stop it. It turned faster than should have been possible, and raked it's claws down my chest. I gasped for breath, and feel to my knees, my world crashing.

Hey guys new series w00t w00t! This story is going to be a fanfic of the books Percy Jackson and the Olympians with the new book House of Hades and all. I will try not to give any spoilers away, but the first few chapters I proabably won't. The next few… maybe, you'll just have to see for yourselves. Tell me what you guys think and what point of view it should be in, for this chapter it will just be third to the story!

Chapter 1: The lost daughter

The woman looked down and the peaceful baby in her arms, and burst into tears. She cradled the helpless being for a few more moments, the baby in her hands trying to grasp t her uncombed hair. She stifled a pathetic sigh, and then quietly crept up the steps of a house. With more tears, she carefully put the baby down on the front porch of the steps. She knocked on the door, and ran into the alley beside the building.

A woman came, she looked around a few times, then hearing the babies cry she looked down and saw her. The lady with dark brown curls gasped, and bent forward to hold the child. On either side of the perfectly white cloth that held the child was her name, stitched in so carefully it might have been made for royalty, the name

Wynter stood a bold purple against the white on the blanket. The lady looked on either side of the street, but it was lifeless. She took the baby back inside and closed the door shut and the way in.

The mother came out of the alley, though she was watching her daughter carefully. "My dear," She began, tears covering her facial expression. "I have always loved you, and I always will. I am sorry that I cannot take care of you, but I didn't want you growing up on the streets like me." Her voice was soft, gentle, and caressing in a way. "This is for you own good, those people are nice. You will live a better life than I ever had." Vision clouded, she turned away from the area and started walking away from the cold autumn streets once more, leaving behind the Children's Orphanage of Summit.
