Lissa walked through the hallways of the Feroxi Palace, a blanket slung over her shoulders to help ward off the lingering cold within the stone walls. She had no particular goal for her strolling, she just had to leave the room she was given to help clear her mind of the events that transpired lately.

Emmeryn, the Exalt of Ylisse and her beloved older sister, sacrificed herself when the Shepherds were supposed to save her for the sake of peace. Her sister's action's were still shocking to Lissa and Chrom both and ever since they returned to Ferox her brother had been occupied with creating an attack plan to take down Gangrel.

Robin had been busy too, though he wasn't attending many meetings in the last couple of days, concerning both of the royal siblings. Lissa had grown concern for her husband; he hadn't been spending much time together and he rarely joined her when they ate. He would leave their room in the early hours and wouldn't come back until late at night. Lissa wasn't sure how to approach Robin about his recent habits, hence yet another reason for her wandering.

Any further thoughts she might have had were forgotten when Lissa suddenly heard a yell and a loud CRASH coming from the palace library ahead.

Lissa rushed over and opened the door quickly, her face full of concern in case there was anyone hurt. Her concern grew when she saw a desk turned over as well as torn pieces of a map and figurines littering the floor while her husband was on the ground hunched over and his body trembling. "Robin, are you okay?!"

"I could've saved her!" Robin's voice was low and hoarse as he pulled his hood over his face, making it hard for him to see his wife walk over to him. "If I had been more wary or looked at our enemy better I could've…" An audible sniff could be heard, which was then did Lissa realize his body was trembling from with held tears.

"Robin…" Lissa looked over again at the mess surrounding them, not needing Robin to explain what he was talking about. "It was a surprise. There's no way you could've known that-"

"But I should've!" His booming sob startled the princess as he looked up at her with tears streaming down his face. "I'm the chief tactician! Part of my job is to know how the enemy works, how many troops they have, any action they do I should predict!" Robin began to sob as he wrapped his arms around his wife's waist and buried his face into her.

"I could've saved her… I could've save your sister… I failed as a tactician and your husband… Lissa, I-I'm sorry…"

Lissa sniffled as her own tears clouded her vision before placing her blanket around Robin's shoulders then pulled him closer into a hug. For hours she sat with him and comforted him as best she could as he bawled into her while her own tears stream.
