"Hey Luan are you a beaver? Cause Dam!" Lane mocked, pointing and laughing at his would-be twin sister.

Luan glared at her nearly identical brother. 'Fine, two can play at that game'.

"Pretty good little bro, but what do you call a humorless stick? A faggot!" She responded, feeling smug from being able to to put such a shocked expression on the boy's face.

Getting pissed, Lane proceeded to attack his sister. "At least I have friends, loser!" He shouted, pulling at her hair.

Luan struggled against his hold, succeeding in flipping their position, she began to slam his head onto the carpeted floor. "Say it again you little shit!"

Hearing the commotion, Lori stomped into the room. "What the hell are you two doing?!"

The two younger teens froze. Luan let go of Lane, opting to sit as far away from the boy as possible. Lane sat up from his previous position on the floor, glaring at Luan, nearly ignoring the eldest sister in the room. Lori tapped her foot impatiently. "Well? What do you two have to say for yourselves?"

"She called me a faggot" Lane began, looking away from his offender, clearly hurt by what she did.

"He started it by calling me a beaver, and I'm not gonna take being called an animal" She bit back, growling at the boy.

"Both of you quit it." Lori stated sternly, eyeing both teens. "Luan, don't ever make fun of your brother's sexuality".

"B-But-" Luan began to protest, but was cut off by Lori.

"No 'buts'. Just because he has feelings doesn't give you the right to make fun of him. How would you feel if you were in his shoes?" The older girl scolded, causing Luan to look away herself.

"Lane, Luan is the closest sister to you in age. You should be looking out for her, not mocking her for what's in her mouth." Lori reprimanded. "Besides, she's not the only one with metal in her mouth. You have braces too, remember that."

He hated to admit it but, it was true. Dealing with having braces was one of the few things he and Luan shared next to their love for comedy.

"You're siblings, not arch rivals. Act like it!" Lori finished, slamming the door behind her. Both siblings flinched at the force she used during her exit.

Awkward silence soon filled the room, but was broken by a heavy sigh from the female comedian. "Listen.. I'm sorry Lane, what I said was out of line, and I-"

"Don't worry about it sis. It doesn't bother me." Lane interrupted, smiling at her. "I'm sorry for making fun of you too Luan, even though I have braces too."

Luan giggled, poking his forehead. "It's cool, bro. Just don't do it again, else I'll crush that bean head of yours, punk." She threatened, her demeanor changing from chipper to visibly demonic.

Lane visibly gulped.
