"Ugh! Late again!" Yumi said running out the door.
She had slept in and now thought she was running late for school. She had a horrible sense of time and didn't realise it was the weekend, not to mention summer break... She was paying attention to her surroundings and rammed into someone's back.
"Ah! Sorry!" She said and was about to continue running.
She stopped though when the person she ran into grabbed her by the hand.
"Um... I believe school is on summer break..." The quiet voice that belonged to the person bumped said.
"O-oh... I totally forgot..." Yumi stuttered feeling as dumb as ever.
"It's fine... Um... I'm Matthew..." The quiet voice said as Yumi turned around.
Matthew had blonde, wavy hair, with a curl that made a loop. He had purplish blue eyes, almost like the ocean, and had the shyest smile ever. He was adorable.
"Oh, uh... Hi Matthew, I'm Yumi... Um... Could you let go of my hand now?" Yumi said awkwardly.
"Oh! Yes... I'm sorry..." Matthew apologised as he let her hand go.
Matthew was now blushing more than ever and Yumi could not help but to giggle at the cute sight. Matthew looked as red as the Canadian maple leaf! She gave him a polite wave and said goodbye. She kind of wondered if they would meet again.
