Again, listened to a song and got an idea. The song this time is Would it Matter by Skillet. This is after season 10 episode 18, so I suggest you watch that first before reading this. Hope you enjoy.

Church's hologram sat on the head of the mongoose that Carolina had put him into. She told him that she needed a moment to gather her thoughts and that she wanted him to wait there. So there he was, just sitting there. Thinking about things. Church watched his holographic feet kick back and forth as he sat there. He didn't notice as Wash walked up the ramp from red base and stopped as he spotted the small AI, not moving towards or away from him. Church sighed and looked up at the sky. He had been a jerk, he had always been a jerk. He had no right to yell at them, no right at all. But he couldn't take it back, he could never take it back. He sighed.

"Son of a bitch," he muttered, getting Wash's attention. "That's what I am. Just a lousy son of a bitch. I'm not a leader, I'm a jerk." Church's hologram lay down on the mongoose with another sigh. Wash stood there, listening to see if he said anything else. He was about to leave when he heard Church speak up. "Wash is a much better friend than I am. He stood up for them, but I didn't. He'll take good care of them. Yeah, he will." Wash gave a nod in response to Church, as if silently assuring him that he would look after them and keep Caboose out of trouble before walking away, leaving Church there alone.

"Church," came a small, nervous voice. Church look over his holographic shoulder to see Caboose walking slowly over, his head hung sadly. Church sat criss-cross and faced the blue soldier. Church said nothing, knowing that Caboose was very sad after what Church had said. If he had his helmet off Church was sure he would see marks from where tears had fallen. And it hurt him to know that he was the cause. "I-I came to say goodbye, and to say that I wish you luck." Church nodded in silence and watched as he walked away. Once he was out of sight Church looked down at the ground, his hologram's shoulder shaking slightly as he forced back the crying his AI self tried to show.

"I'm sorry," he murmured to the air. "I'm so, so sorry." He fell silent and looked up as Carolina walked back over. She got onto the mongoose in silence and started the engine. Church shut off his hologram as they took off towards the Director. As they did so Church's hologram appeared on the back of the mongoose, looking back at the base as the reds filed inside. "By guys," he said quietly. "Take care of yourself..."

Well, that's that.

Thanks for reading and please review.
