One day Shauna was walking in the Santalune Forest with her Chestnaught and cavalcade of fairy-type Pokemon when she bumped into Serena. Suddenly her heart went all ~dokidoki~ her cheeks turned a shiny pink.
"O-oh! Serena...hi. C-can I walk with you, please?" she whispered. Serena smiled maturely and giggled a little.
"Of course, Shauna! You're only my bestest friend!" So they walked for five minutes before Shauna decided it was time for a deep, deep confession. She turned to face Serena, blushing, her heart going ~dokidoki~ again.
"...Serena?"
"Yeah, Shauna?"
"I..." And then the forest turned a sparkly pink as her Aromatisse used Misty Terrain. Little hearts bubbled all around them, and Shauna gasped meaningfully. "I love you!"
"Oh, Shauna..." Serena's eyes went shiny and sparkly, like two big Dawn Stones. "I...I love you, too! Ever since those beautiful fireworks...back then, there was something I wanted to do, but..."
"You never had the courage," Shauna whispered. "Neither did I...so...let's do it. Right here...right now..."
And their bodies slowly moved closer and closer until...their fingers touched. And right there, in the beautiful misty terrain of the Santalune Forest, they held hands for the first time. Both girls were blushing intensely, hearts beating quickly, their eyes sparkling at the overwhelming realization of this very important, intimate step they'd just taken.
