Yuuri wasn't proud to admit it, but there were times when she was jealous of Sion.

Fate had dealt him the same hand of cards she had. He'd lost everything. He'd grown up alone. He was still learning to work with teammates. And yet there was no bitterness to him, no wariness. He didn't dwell on the past. He could just talk and laugh with the others like he'd grown up doing things like that all his life. He never felt the need to keep his guard up.

He never felt the need to hide.

"Yuuri-san?" Sion peeked at her over her shoulder. "You've been working all night. Maybe you should get some rest."

"I'll be fine." She came off as more terse than she really was.

Yuuri flinched inwardly at the expression of pure hurt on Sion's face. Then an idea must've occurred to him, since he was beaming. "Well, could I at least get you some coffee?"

"... That would be nice."

Sion nodded happily. "I'll be right back." He turned towards the kitchen, but not before glancing at her again. "I really admire you, Yuuri-san."

Yuuri raised an eyebrow. "Oh?"

"A lot of bad things have happened to you, but you keep going," Sion explained as he went into the kitchen. "I wish I had that kind of determination. To be honest, Yuuri-san, I'm a little jealous."

... It figured. Even in that, Sion was honest.

Yuuri stared at her paper work. She would never be as open as Sion was... but Sion wasn't asking her to be. He just wanted her to not work herself to death, that was all.

Sion was back. "Here you go, Yuuri-san." He looked more than a little nervous as he handed her the mug.

And somehow, she managed to smile back. "Thank you."

It was all worth it when she saw his face light up in reply.
