Shippo had been standing in a tree fox firing anyone of Naraku's minions he could reach, he was so distracted in doing that he didn't see one of Naraku's tentacles come up behind him and pierce him through the heart…..

He was using his wind tunnel to suck in dead demons that were on the ground. He didn't see the poison insects coming around the corner he accidentally sucked about fifty of them in his wind tunnel, making him suffer a long painful death through poison. When he did die, he said four words directed towards Sango,
"I love you Sango……"

She had thrown her boomerang at Naraku, but out of nowhere the young girl named, Kanna came and deflected Sango's boomerang, and sent it hurtling back at her, hitting her and going through her abdomen, cutting her in half, and her top half fell at Kagome's feet…….
