So I've decided to go back and try my hand at rewriting this story. It was the first story I ever wrote and it was back when I had absolutely no clue what I was doing, now that I've been doing this for awhile I figured I should show the story that started it all some love. So lets get this shit going. Enjoy.

Disclaimer: I do not own RWBY or any of its characters, I do however own any OCs within this story, aside from those sent to me by other authors. No profit of any kind is made off this story and all credit goes to the respective owners.

The rain was pouring down upon the city of Vale, though this did nothing help put out the fires in the distance that were producing a colossal cloud of smoke. People could be heard screaming as they ran for their lives away from the beasts that had made it into the city. Only a few were brave or foolish enough to run towards the chaos rather than away.

One of these few was Randle Law, who was sprinting through the street, tearing through anything that got in his way. He ignored everything as he ran, the rain, fires, screaming civilians, even the blood gushing out of his leg with every step he took.

The wound was rather deep and clearly painful as it had been dealt by an alpha Beowulfs teeth, but Law didn't let it slow him down in the slightest.

"Please be okay, please be okay, please be okay." He repeated over and over as he continued running. An Ursa major ran out of an alley way and saw him running, it let out a loud roar and charged towards him. Law leaped into the air and came down feet first onto its head, he then quickly shoved his fingers into its eye sockets and violently rip the fleshy spheres out causing the creature to begin thrashing around in agony.

Law simply jumped off the beast and continued sprinting towards his destination. It wasn't until he rounded the next corner that he stopped in his tracks. "No." He whispered to himself as he looked upon the scene. He was looking at the building the he, his wife Lina, and their daughter Liorie, all lived in together. Its was completely destroyed.

Law ran to the demolished remains of the building and began picking up debris and throwing it. "LINA, LIORIE!" He shouted as loud as he could, not at all caring if any grimm could hear him. "LINA! LIORIE!" He kept screaming as he continued to dig through the rubble.

"Randle?" He barely heard whispered through the pouring rain.

Law ran over to where he heard it and saw something that caused his heart to drop. "Lina?" He whispered as tears started streaming down his face. Lina was sitting with her back to a wall and a large piece of rebar protruding from her chest causing a large amount of blood to be pouring out.

"Randle, could you look at Lele?" She asked weakly referring to the little girl in her arms. "I think he might have a cold." She said as a trail of blood began to fall from her mouth.

"Liorie?" He said taking the small girl into his trembling arms. "Baby?" He choked out as he looked at his daughter. She wasn't moving or breathing and had blood leaking from the back of her head. Law felt something touch his arm and looked up to see his wife's hand.

"I'm feeling tired darling, I'm gonna take a small nap okay." She said before her arm went limp and fell to her side.

Law sat on his knees motionless as he cradled his lifeless child in front of his dead wife. "No God, please. Please, this can't..." The rain continued to pour down upon the scene. "THIS CAN"T BE REAL!" He screamed as loud as he could while holding his daughter closing to his chest.

Heavy sobs wracked his whole body as his cried. He sat their with his wife and child for an unknown amount of time while completely in shock and unaware of his surroundings.

"LAW!" A voice shouted as someone could be heard approaching. "LAW! If you can hear me say something!" The voice shouted though Law didn't even seem to be aware someone was shouting. The sound of foot falls could be heard getting closer until a man in military dress came into view. "Law! Have you found-" He stopped when he saw Lina against the wall and Liorie in Laws arms. "God no." Was all he could say.

"Cruor." Law said as he slowly turned his head to look at the man. "Is this hell?" He asked clearly in a state of shock.

Cruor couldn't answer his question as he looked at the woman who use to be his teammate pinned to a wall, and his god daughters corpse in the arms of his best friend who looked completely broken. Cruor noticed blood flowing from Laws leg and pulled out his scroll. "This is Huntsmen first class Cruor Reprimere, I've got three injured, a child and two hunters! Get a damn medical team over here NOW!" He shouted into the device refusing to believe that they were really dead.

There was a brief silence over the feed. "Understood Hunter, we have a team headed your way now."

Cruor looked back at his teammate who was holding his daughters head against his own as he cried.

There we go, the first chapter I've ever rewritten. I can already say I like it more than the original version, plus I made it longer though not by much. Its hard to add a lot of extra content when your just rewriting something that is already preset. I'll try to continue to rewrite this story until I'm happy with it. Tell me what you all think in the reviews. LATER.
