You feel it calling for you.
You don't know when it'll come, but you know it will.
Faster every day, traveling by strong legs, you know it won't be long.
You take a breath, smelling the sterilized air of this cage trapping you, helping the evil beast hunt you with ease.
You have to get out of here. If you stay in here you'll die. You know this, but it doesn't turn your stomach like the way you thought it would. Almost like you've accepted the fact that you aren't going to live very long.
Acceptance.
The one thing you refuse to feel. You refuse to die peacefully at the hands of that thing, closing your eyes and letting it take you without a complaint on your lips.
Staring at the white wall across from you, you imagine the wall caving in, the ugly head of the monster glaring before forcing itself inside, running for you and--
The thought drifts away. You force it to. You won't stand for the image. You stare at the wall again. This time the wall just beams at you vacuously. Idly, you think it looks like death.
You have to get out of here.
