26 days

26 days since he's been lost and now she is ruined. It's hard for her to function without him there. He was her everything and nothing is right anymore. The bed feels empty, the toilet seat is never up, and his messes are never left in the kitchen. Her heart is broken, left with a gaping hole, she doesn't know what to do. His sister came over today with garbage bags to clean out his side of the closet. But she's not ready yet and nobody understands.

Alice doesn't know what to do she wants what is best for Bella, she feels useless. Rosalie keeps telling Alice to give Bella time although secretly she's not sure that will ever be enough. Nobody is happy anymore, they miss their brother. It makes Jasper cry to see his baby sister like this he wants to help but isn't sure how. Emmet hasn't smiled in 26 days he says it's too hard when his brother is gone.

She once was a wife still is a mother. Mathew is seven and Ava is four - she thinks they don't understand. Mathew knows enough but both children still need their mother. The kids blame themselves over whelmed with guilt. They see what this has done to their mother. Their Aunts' and Uncles' try to console them but nothing works, it hasn't for 26 days. They feel as if they lost both parents, when really it should only be their father. 26 days of this endless guilt and no sight of it ever clearing up.

Bella is at a loss for words, what should she tell her little girl that stands by the window waiting for her Daddy to come home? Remind her of the situation, that her super hero is never coming back?
