Sequel to "Great Risks Lead to Great Reward"

The Greater the Risk…

Chapter One

"Bones, that was not a vacation!" Booth stated as they departed the plane.

Brennan rolled her eyes at him. "I know Booth. I heard you the first fifty times. Not to mention the number of times you said it over the past two weeks."

"That's because mucking around in a mass grave in ninety degree weather is not my idea of a vacation."

"Oh, come on Booth ninety is not THAT hot!"

"It's March, Bones. Ninety is very hot in March."

They worked there way through customs bickering the whole way. As they walked through the last security checkpoint they were still arguing about their trip.

"Fine, Booth. You can pick the next vacation destination, okay?"

"Good. We might have to go now because after that trip I need a vacation. I can't believe that is what you did on all those trips you go on."

Just then they heard someone calling 'sweetie' above the noise of the crowd.

"Angela!" Brennan yelled with a smile. Then seeing who was standing next to Angela her smile got even bigger. "Parker!" Brennan hugged Angela as Booth swept his son into a bear hug, then they switched.

"So, how was Argentina?"

"Great!" Brennan said at the same time Booth said, "Awful."

"We did a lot of good."

"I think I need to shower for about a week."

"It was beautiful."

"It was hot and smelled weird."

"We really helped those people and they really appreciated us being there."

"And don't even get me started on the food! All I want right now is to go to the dinner were at least I can recognize everything I'm eating."

By now both Angela and Parker were laughing at the two very different people.

"It's not funny," Booth said in a pouting way. "This trip was supposed to be because we don't spend enough time together now that we aren't partners, but we were so tired by the end of ever day that we just fell in the bed and so we didn't get to spend that quality time together like I was promised. (sigh) That will teach me to agree to a trip before knowing the destination."

Angela laughed at that.

"So, how are things at the lab?" Brennan asked as they made it to the car.

"Oh well, Hodgins and Zack have been fighting over who is in charge when you are gone. That has been fun. Other than that just the same old stuff. You know people die. We identify. I draw a pretty face. We go home. Nothing big to report." She stated as they got in the car to head for the dinner.
