This is my first shot at doing this. I am absolutely new at writing. Hope you all enjoy my fluffy story.
I do not own any of the characters Ms. J.K. Rowling has wonderfully written.
"I LOVE YOU!"
Rain was falling hard soaking their bodies in front of the pub. The birthday party Ginny had thrown Harry had been a success.
"I am not the man I used to be, when will you finally believe me? I said I love you!"
"I can't believe you showed up? Without an invite, without my permission. I haven't told anyone about us. It's not that easy. You have to understand Draco, I just broke up with Ron. My friends have to get used to that idea before I introduce THIS." She made a motion with her hand connecting them together.
Hermione was not sure she was ready to introduce Draco to her friends. She had bumped into Draco a few months back at a charity ball she attended. She was the Head of the Education Department at the Ministry of Magic and had to attend such functions and mix with the upper crust of society. He was part of the rich crust. The rich playboy obtaining free publicity by giving back.
They had struck up a conversation and she saw an opportunity to milk Draco for his money to help the community and he saw a good tax write off. She wanted to build a new library in the middle of the city and was having financial difficulties along with obtaining building permits. His corporations owned a large portion of the city; this was a win/win situation as she saw it.
"From the moment that we began working together I have had an insufferable attraction towards your stubborn nature, the sweet smell of your hair, the rich way you fight me at almost every one of my whims. You are a difficult Witch now that I think about it. A huge thorn on my side really, but you make me laugh. Do you know how rare that is?"
"You are the biggest prat I have ever known! Who can't make his own tea or get up to grab their own dry cleaning at our age?" They were twenty-seven for crying out loud. She snorted and let out a small chuckle and she got closer to Draco.
She continued, "I am just really afraid. I don't want to lose my friends, they are my family. I feel I am risking it all. You are not exactly their favorite person, they don't know you like I know you. They don't see what I see. I love them and they're all I have." She looked down afraid he would see the tears in her eyes.
"I don't get what you see in that poor excuse of intellect, really love, they are daft, but I don't understand why don't you trust me? Haven't I showed you how much I care about you? I know what you are risking for us to be together, let me show you what I am willing to do. Once I set my mind to something I get it. If it takes me a lifetime I will win them over. If you care then I care, although this does not mean I don't think they are way below our, for that matter, the average intelligence level." She nudged him after that last comment and he chuckled.
She had fallen in love and hoped that her friends would one day understand. She was taking a chance on love. She had cheated on Ron with Draco, not physically but emotionally, and knew the moment she walked in with Draco in tow she would be questioned and shunned. If they loved her as much as she loved them, then she knew they would one day forgive her. She had to ask her heart if she trusted him.
She did and finally she acknowledged his words.
"I love you too."
She dove in closer looked up, tilted her head, and stood on her tip toes to reach his succulent pink mouth. He dipped his head to meet her.
He had nothing to fear for she loved him, and all to gain for she loved him.
The End.
