Austin's Pov:
"Austin, I just want you home for Christmas this year. Is that to much to ask?" Savannah my wife asked. I groaned, she has asked me this same question every single year. "Savannah you know I would if I could, but I have work." I said putting the bags of groceries on the table. She looks at me. If looks could kill, I swear I would be dead right now. I look at her for a few minutes and then grab my keys off the table. "Where are you going?!" she screamed at me with a horrifying look on her face. I look at her one last time before "I'm done." I say and walk out of the house slamming the door.
Ally's Pov:
"Hey Ally, I'm gonna head on home, will you lock up tonight for me?" Katylin ask me. "Yeah sure go home and see your kids, Ill lock up." I smile and say. She smiles back at me and leaves with a single bye. I sigh and look at my watch. 11 pm and I'm still at work on Christmas eve . It's not like I have anyone to spend Christmas with anyway so I might as well spend it at work. I finish cleaning the tables and go behind the counter to lock up the register when the bell at the front entrance goes off. I turn around and see a blonde man in his late 20's walk in. I take a good look at his face features. He is really good looking. I hear him clear his throat and I snap out of my thoughts. "What can I get for you?" I say hoping he didn't catch me staring at him. He laughs, "Can I just get a hot chocolate?" he asks. I blush knowing he caught me staring and nod my head quickly and start making his drink. I put a lid on the cup and hand it to him. He starts to hand me a five dollar bill, but I shake my head. He looks at me confused, "Don't worry about paying me, its on the house." I smile at him. He smiles back and thanks me. He leaves and I finish cleaning up. I quickly grab my coat and keys and lock up the store. I shiver as a bust of air hits me in the face. I start walking to the bus station. Man, it's freezing tonight, I think to myself. I quickly get on the bus and sit down. I pull out my phone and see I have 16 missed calls from my mom and dad. I sigh and put my phone back in my bag and lean my head against the window. I feel someone tap me on the shoulder and I lean up and looks up at them. Its the guy from the restaurant earlier. "May I sit here?" he ask. I nod and move my bag and out it in my lap. "Thank you." he says and sits sit in awkward silence for a few minutes. We finally reach our destination. I get up and quickly make my way off of the bus. I start walking to my apartment building. "Hey wait up!" I hear someone from behind me yell. I turn around and see the blonde guy again. I look at him confused. "You uh forgot your phone on the bus." he says. I look down at his hands and take my phone from him. "Oh uh thank you." I laugh a little, "I swear I would loose my head if it wasn't screwed on." I joke. He laughs a little, "Hey you don't happen to know where Apartment 8c is?" he asks. "Oh yeah, It's right next to mine, Here I'll show you." I say as I start walking to the elevator with him following behind. We arrive on the floor and I walk to apartment 8c. "Well here it is, apartment 8c." I say. He smiles at me "Thank you." he says. I smile and start walking to my apartment. I hear hm call behind me "I'm Austin by the way." he says. I smile. "I'm Ally." I say and walk into my apartment.
