after Cartoon Rumble season finale

Katz had been depressed and hasn't been out of the house for a while. Losing to Mordecai was a soul crusher and his relationship with Courage started to suffer. The feeling of hopelessness lead Courage out to look for company. The thing was that he was now with Bunny who had been dating Kitty.

They weren't on a "real" date but Courage had done his best to dress nicely and be at his best for Bunny. The poor girl had been through enough with Mad Dog, he wanted to give dogs a better name. So after getting Kitty to spend a night watching Saw and a marathon of Jaws with Katz, Courage had the night out with Bunny. Courage had gotten the best dinner in the town of Nowhere, Kansas after picking up Bunny in Eustace's truck.

The two got out and entered the dinner as their waiter and friend Le Quack came and took their order. A nice plate of mashed potatoes and chicken for Courage and the same for Bunny.

Courage: So this is nice.

Bunny: Yeah, I guess it is.

Le Quack came back with two Colas for the couple as they waited for Cajun Fox to finish cooking the chickens. The couple drank their sodas as they talked.

Courage: So, how have you been?

Bunny: I have been better since Mad Dog, things have been going smoothly.

Courage: I know how hard it is to recover from abuse or neglect.

Bunny: This is nice Courage, but you don't have to do a big thing for me. You're already too sweet.

Courage: Nonsense, I can by you a dinner. It is my treat.

Then as the couple were finishing their sodas Le Quack came and gave them their chicken and mashed potatoes.

Bunny: Thank you, Le Quack.

Le Quack: My pleasure, ma 'dam.

Courage: Thank you.

Le Quack: My pleasure, doggie.

Le Quack walked away and went to take another couples order.

Courage: So if you need anything at all, you can tell me.

Bunny: Well, you were always the sweetest. Kitty is a lot like her brother.

Courage: What does that mean?

Bunny: Both of them have been cold after losing their parents to the vet. I just wanted company, we kind of made a inner circle. I'm glad to open that circle to you.

Courage: Thank you, yeah Katz is depressed since the finale of Cartoon Rumble. He'll fell better but this is about you.

Bunny: Awwwwwww that's cute.

Bunny reaches across and gives a little kiss to Courage's forehead.

The scene cuts to Katz and Kitty watching Saw

Katz: This isn't as scary as the reviews said.

Kitty: Yeah, that's a bummer. Want to skip to Jaws?

Katz: Naw, I want to spend some time with my sister.

Kitty: Life got you down?

Katz: Why?

Kitty: You need me the most when you are down. That's you little give-away.

Katz: Just wanted to be with someone who understood me.

Katz rested his head on his sisters shoulder. She signed in relief as his eyes started to grow weary.

Kitty: Is this what raising me felt like? When...mom and dad died?

Katz: No, there was more tears and nights where I didn't know how we could survive. This is just a bad day.

Kitty: I'm glad you were there for me, even after the abuse the vet put you through. I could always trust you.

Katz: I couldn't even trust myself, you still trusted me. I wonder what that feels like.

Kitty: Same feeling with Bunny and me.

Katz: You two are sweet, like Courage. Courage is sweet.

Kitty started stroking her brothers tired head as his consciousness disappeared into the night. She turned off the TV as used another remote to turn off the lights.

Kitty: Goodnight big brother, I'll see you in the morning.
