"Dan? Ro?"
Glorfindel rushed from room to room looking for those Eru forsaken twins.
The Lord Elrond was away visiting his daughter Arwen in Lothlorien and the trouble making heirs were left under the eye of Glorfindel.
The tall elf looked around, nothing extraordinarily horrible was going on which clearly meant that he was in the wrong place.
Just then he heard a patter of little feet and deep exaggerated breaths.
"Suilad Estel, is everything alright?"
The human child looked excited and terrified.
"Glorfy! It's Dan and Ro! Get water!"
Glorfindel sighed, of course it was Elladan and Elrohir, who else?
"Estel, what have your brothers done now?"
The heir to the throne of Gondor looked back to where he came, following his gaze, Glorfindel didn't need Estel to say another word
Smoke was pouring from the kitchens and he could distinctly hear shrieks of hysterics coming from it.
Perhaps I should've put up with Namo's obsession with bananas and stayed in the Halls of Mandos
He sprinted to the kitchens and found the door locked.
He threw himself against it and after a long struggle the door finally gave way.
He looked in on the tableau.
Both twins, Elladan and Elrohir were staring at the beautifully carved chamber used for baking as swirling bits of ash fell to the floor.
"Boys." Glorfindel spoke strongly
In unison, the two slowly turned around knowing that they couldn't push this one off Erestor.
Both of their faces were covered in soot and their long hair mostly burned away.
Glorfindel sighed, "I have trouble telling you two apart as it is, and now I can't see your faces past this gunk. Who's who?"
Elladan raised his hand shakily, "This is Dan."
Elrohir was a second behind his brother, "This is Ro."
Glorfindel sighed, "Should I bother to ask what happened?"
The two made eye contact and said together, "we were hungry."
"You were hungry?"
Again they answered as one, "yeah"
Glorfindel was about to reprimand them for nearly burning Rivendell to the ground when a hysterical head chef flew into the room
The elf shrieked at the sight of his once soot free kitchen and rounded on the two elves trying to inch their way out of the room.
"Hold it! Sons of Elrond or not this behavior is..."
All four elves stopped as the clip clop of a horse on the bridge resounded through the silence.
"Ada's back!" shouted both elf twins in unison and as one they turned into a burned blackish blur and sped out of the room.
