Fall!
The final tower tumbled over in the distance. Dark grey skies loomed overhead as lightning thundered and another storm approached. Broken windows and trash lined the muddy streets as people ran for cover.
...
Now the dark begins to rise, save your breath it's far from over
Leave the lost and dead behind, nows your chance to run for cover
Children's cries could be heard all around.
I don't want to change the world, I just want to leave it colder
He stood in the eye of the storm watching the destruction all around him. A moment of silence as the world crumbled before him. The end was near.
Light the fuse and burn it up, take the path that leads to nowhere
All is lost again, but I'm not giving in
But it wasn't over yet.

PS. Should I leave it at the "And he will save the world" and cut out the rest, or do you like the last the last bit? I know it has nothing to do with the beginning, but the song made me think of two different scenes. One of the future, where Chris is fighting a losing battle, and one against the sisters and the obstacles their lack of trust cause. Plus I love angst-y fics where the girls are mean to Chris… so I couldn't help myself… o_O
