One Last Time

"Ta… Tadashi?"

"Hiro…"

Tears in his eyes, he ran up and felt the arms of his brother around him. Tadashi placed a hand on his brother's face, wiping away a tear.

"You're… you're here," Hiro whispered. "You're actually real."

Tadashi chuckled. "Of course I'm real, bonehead. What else would I be?"

"Tadashi, about the fire… I'm so sorry. If I only stopped you in time… you'd still be with us right now."

His brother's hand was on his shoulder. "Hey, it wasn't your fault. It was my choice in the first place to go after Callaghan."

Hiro's brow furrowed. "You went in after him. You went in after him, and he didn't even honor your sacrifice."

"He's still a good man, Hiro," said Tadashi. "You would have almost done the same for me, after what happened between him and Abigail."

Hiro looked to the ground. He just about used Baymax to destroy Callaghan. They both were on the same path, but Callaghan's road took a darker step.

"How's Aunt Cass?" asked Tadashi. "Is everyone alright?"

"Oh, yeah, they are," nodded Hiro. "Aunt Cass misses you so much… We all miss you. In fact, they named a building after you back at SFIT. 'The Tadashi Hamada Building'."

Tadashi looked to the ground, an awkward smile on his face. "Really, a building? Wow…"

"Oh, and I'm graduating SFIT soon."

"Congratulations…!" His smile beamed.

"If you hadn't gotten me out of bot fighting… I wouldn't have turned out this way."

"No, Hiro, you always had it in you. I just showed you the directions on the map. You lost your way, but you always had good in you. And I'm proud of you, Hiro… I'm so, so proud of you."

More tears were in their eyes. They held each other into another embrace.

"Please, don't leave me... I don't want to be alone."

"Hiro..." Tadashi smiled, pushing a lock of hair back into his ear. "You'll never be alone."

Waking up, a smile was on his face as his damp eyes looked to the ceiling of his room.

"Mom and Dad said hi, and remember… I will always be with you."
