Merida's Bow

Fergus finds a wisp and it leads him to a bow. He gives it to Merida, not knowing it was magic. All of a sudden, Merida is among some of the worst archers in Scotland. Her old bow mysteriously disappears so she has to use this bow. She knows something is wrong with it, and tries to tell Fergus, but he's missing! Will she be able to find what is missing?

Chapter 1: Merida Gets a New Bow

Merida mounted Angus and bolted for the forest. A wisp appeared. Why do wisps always come to me? When I was young, I saw them. Last year, they took me to a witch's cottage, and also led me towards Mom while she was a bear so I could save her life. Now what? Are they going to make me turn my dad into a bear, too? She decided to avoid the wisps. They only led her to trouble. But they blocked every way out. Angus was freaking out. She calmed her horse down and urged him to jump over the wisps. They went back to the castle, where Fergus was waiting for her.

"Merida!" he said. "I got you a new bow, lass!" Fergus handed her a bow. She gaped at it and took it. She put up her other bow and remounted Angus and galloped into the forest to try out her new bow. For some reason, she missed every target.
