(Flash Back Booths POV) "Sweets and I finally convince Dr. Temperance Brennan that singing karaoke was a fun and socially acceptable act. The song choice is perfect for her 'Girls just want to have fun' by Cindy Lauper. We had just finished a case where a woman named Pam made relationships up about total strangers and their innocent gestures, she even had me at one point and all I did was touch her shoulder. It gave me a whole new meaning to a touchy person!
Soon Bones took the stage giving me a warm smile and a twinkle in her clear/blue eyes, her green top hugging just the right places her jeans showing the full length of her legs, her auburn hair pulled back into a half ponytail. She was stiff at first but soon got into a groove even jumping up and down, I pull out my lighter swaying it to encourage her.
"Seeley...Seeley" it takes me a minute to realize that someone was calling my name. I look around and spotting Pam the Psycho standing towards the back with a gun pointing at the stage...pointing at...Bones!! "Am doing this for us Seeley" she shouted and then time seemed to almost stop.
I hear the gun fire, see the flash from the muzzle and the... the screams, those screams is what brought time back to normal speed. I pulled my gun and firing hitting her dead in the throat without even blinking. I hear Angela yell my name pointing to the stage, Hodgins is yelling at Zach to call for an ambulance. I turn towards the stage only to see Bones.. My Bones laying on the stage the microphone slung to the side as I rush to her I then see it...the center of her green top is now stained black with blood she had been shot on the right towards the center. I take of my jacket pressing it against her trying to stem the flow of blood seeping around and on my fingers. Her eyes closed her breathing shallow "Look at me Bones! Open your eyes!!"
She looks at me searching my eyes for answers "Booth?" she whispers
"Yea baby am right here".
"It hurts, am cold and don't call me baby" she starts to cough
"it's ok Zach is calling for an ambulance" I chuckled but stops as her body starts to shiver her breathing becomes short and erratic.
"Booth? Booth where are you please don't leave me please" panic seeping into her voice.
I look into her eyes, the life slowly slipping away I gather her in my arms cradling her against my chest. "God please no, Oh god. I'll never leave you Bones am right here never going anywhere, so don't you leave me now I love you Bones do you hear me I love you!! "Her eyes flutter close my shirt and hands are soaked with her blood. My body racks with sobs Hodgins and Zach are trying to peel me off of her so the medics can work on her.
Once again time seems to slow the medics are removing her shirt one yells "I lost her pulse grab the pads!".
All I could do was sit on the floor helpless staring at the hole in her normally flawless creamy skin.
The medics attach to her chest "Clear" shock "Clear" shock "Clear" shock "ok I got a weak one lets go". They loaded her into the back and took off,
I feel Cam's hand on my shoulder "come on we will meet them there" I numbly follow her to the SUV letting her drive.
