"Then We'll Ride Horses in the Beach, Right in the Surf" (Titanic Alternate Ending)

Camera spans over waves flowing in and out of the ocean, moves upward toward sound.

JACK AND ROSE (OFF CAMERA VOICEOVER, SING SONG VOICE):

Come Josephine, in my flying machine and it's up she goes, up she goes.

Jack and Rose , now in frame, walk on the beach, both holding a six year old girl's hand. They swing her up and down as they continue to sing.

JACK AND ROSE:

Balance yourself like a bird on a beam. In the air she goes. Where? There she goes!

Little girl laughs and joins them in singing.

JACK, ROSE, AND LITTLE GIRL:

Up, up, a little bit higher.

ROSE:

Oh my!

JACK, ROSE, AND LITTLE GIRL:

The moon is on fire!

Scene cuts to Jack, Rose, and the little girl approaching a man selling horse rides by the docks. Jack pays him as screams from the roller coaster in the background can be heard. Jack and Rose help the little girl on the brown horse. The girl giggles as Jack helps Rose on. Jack climbs on behind Rose and the little girl as music begins. The horse walks in the surf as the three laugh. The little girl leans forward and wraps her arms around te horse's neck.

LITTLE GIRL (SING SONG VOICE):

Come Josephine, my flying machine and it's up she goes...up she goes!

Rose leans back against Jack as he tightens his grip on the reins. She closes her eyes and gently rubs her head against his cheek.

LITTLE GIRL (BARELY AUDIBLE):

Yay, horsey!

Camera zooms in on just Jack and Rose. Rose looks up at Jack. They both smile and slowly lean in to kiss. Music swells as their lips touch. After five seconds, camera pans back. First showing just Jack, Rose, and the little girl on the horse. Then adding the dock and the roller coaster, ferris wheel, and other carnival rides. And then adding the ocean and the afternoon sun to the scene. Jack and Rose are still kissing as the camera pans smoothly and slowly over to just the sun and fades to black.

FIN.

Ok, so this would be the ending I hope would've happened if Jack had survived in the end. Though I love how, in the end, they were reunited in death, I just wish Jack had survived and they would've had a life together.
