A/N: I wanna thank everyone who reviewed on my last (and first Castle) Fanfiction and also everyone who faved it or even put me on Alert because of it. Thank you! Also, some of you might already know me as 'pumpkinnubbin' on Twitter or Tumblr, if not, follow me, it's not gonna hurt you and if you don't, I'll survive it too. Anyway, I wrote something like this in German for Sam/Jack (SG1) before and wanted to adapt it- turned out in a whole new way but I really like it. Ok, enough said, enjoy reading and let me know what you think. There you go and MORE TO COME!
I Hate You
"Good morning." Castle said cheerful as he entered the precinct and saw Beckett.
"Stop. Talking." Kate growled.
"Why, Detective Beckett-"
"Stop. Talking. Castle."
"Why are you in such a bad mood today?"
"Shut up!"
If Castle wouldn't have gotten up with the wrong foot first he would have dealt with it like he always did. Unfortunately he had.
"I haven't done anything to annoy you, Beckett-"
"You're talking. Shut. Up."
"Could you for once stop yelling at me?" He snapped back and it startled Kate for a moment.
She clearly wasn't used to that tone of voice from him.
"Shut the fuck up, Castle!"
"Get your damn act together, Beckett!"
Esposito and Ryan had meanwhile taken cover in another room. They did not want to get between them now.
"Why can't you just leave me alone?" Kate snapped again not even expecting an answer.
"Because-!" Castle started to yell back instantly but didn't exactly know how to finish.
Kate's sarcastic laugh filled the air for a second.
"You can't even come up with a straight argument, writer-boy! Why don't you just leave and go back to your glorious life and 'Gina'?"
She hadn't even meant to spit out Gina's name and especially not the way she had but she was too furious to actually care.
"That's what this is about? Gina? I'm sorry to tell you but she dumped me! But I don't think that's any of your damn business anyway!"
Kate's eyes had lit up the second he mentioned they had broken up but neither of them paid attention to it.
"Just...Just shut up and leave!" She yelled her voice cracking.
Did he heard correctly or had he just imagined her voice breaking to the end?
"Are you kidding me or something?" When she didn't reply he continued angry, "Fine then, Detective! I'll leave but don't expect me to come back anytime soon!" Castle spat out, got up with a force no one knew he could have and stormed towards the elevators, not noticing Ryan and Esposito ducking for cover as he passed them.
"Fine! Leave! It's not like I care anyway! I hate you, Castle! I fucking hate you!" Kate screamed loud enough to be sure he'd hear her at the elevators.
She barely noticed the tears that threatened to fall every second.
Hearing her words Castle suddenly stopped and turned around walking right back to her and only stopping when he stood right in front of her, facing her.
"I hate you, Castle!"
"Not as much as I hate you, Beckett. You have no idea how much I hate you!" He knew it was the rage talking and going through with him but right now he didn't care because the next second his lips were crushed on hers.
They parted breathlessly after a few seconds and he rested his forehead against hers. Neither of them cared that they were still in the precinct and everybody was watching them, careful not to get caught staring.
"I hate you, Castle..." Kate mumbled calmer than before as a tear she couldn't fight anymore made its way down her cheek.
"I know you do, Kate. I know."
She could practically hear the smile in his voice but when she looked up she didn't find it in his face.
"I hate you for making me need you so much. I hate you for making me feel like this and I definitely hate you for making me love you so damn much." She whispered slapping him over his chest as good as she could, given their situation.
"I love you too, you know." Castle said barely speaking.
THE END
