Yusuke Urameshi- S-ranked gamer and resident bad-boy of the town- plopped down in his chair before facing his computer, putting on a set of headphones that had a microphone attached. He logged into the computer before logging into his gaming account and he click on one of the many games in his folder. On the screen it said 'Demon-Spirit-Detective has logged in' and Yusuke grinned.

That was his gamer name.

He was the best at the games he played and he was ranked 3 on the entire website. Every now and then he would switch between third and fourth because of this one specific gamer whose gamer name was 'Love-of-a-Spirit-Warrior'. It was, to put it frankly, annoying.

In truth, all he knew about the guy was that he was pretty good at shooting and fighting games, but not-so great at rpg games. His name was also Kazuma Kuwabara. And, apparently, all the gamer girls loved him.

Shaking his head of his thoughts, Yusuke logged his character into the game before getting to work on his current quest. He was supposed to be finding a rare beast called a 'Furie' and apparently it took- in theory- at least three people to kill it.

Roaming the plains, he eventually came across a large shadow wolf creature, that was already being attacked. Looking at the guy, Yusuke saw that he was down to his last bar of health. The creature itself barely had any life taken from it at all.

Quickly cutting in, healing the guy with magic first, he threw in some of his own spells to weaken the monster.

"Ah, thanks man!"

That was when Yusuke noticed the guy's name and he smirked. "A little in over your head, huh, Kuwabara?" Yusuke spoke into his microphone and he heard the guy scoff.

"As if! I was just about to pull out the big guns on this thing!" Kuwabara said and Yusuke laughed.

"Sure, whatever. Come on, let's just kill this thing and get the quest over with." he quickly pressed a few different keys, sending a wave of magic towards the beast just as the other made a noise in agreement, his own character swinging around a large sword made of golden energy and it hit the creature dead on. "Nice hit!" Yusuke grinned and Kuwabara laughed loudly into his microphone, though Yusuke didn't shy away from the sound.

"Who's the king now, beast!?" Kuwabara taunted the creature and it was Yusuke's turn to laugh now.

"Still not you," he answered the taunt and delivered the final blow to the beast, a thick blast of blue-white magic shooting the beast directly in the head, dealing critical damage that was enough to take it down.

"Hey!" Kuwabara cried out, both in annoyance at the insult and the fact that Yusuke stole the creatures goodies. "Ah, whatever… I can just go find another one to kill."

"No way," Yusuke immediately shot the idea down, "don't kill yourself." he added in a huff before pulling out his inventory and he traded the items with Kuwabara. "There, since we both brought the thing down, we both get the prize." He closed his inventory and he was sure, for a moment, that the relieved smile could be heard in his voice.

"…thanks." Kuwabara muttered, though grateful nonetheless-

-and Yusuke couldn't help it when his smile turned into a grin, "No problem."
