As Sasuke walked into the Japanese Go Association he wondered how the hell he got stuck with this mission.
----Flashback no Jutsu---
As Sasuke walked into the room he wondered what kind of mission he'd get, after all he had just returned to Konoha 2 months ago and was still on probation, and everyone knows that missions while on probation sucked. He had heard that a few years ago a Jonin that was on probation had to be a record keeper for a game of Go……. He hoped to Kami-sama that he wouldn't have to do that. He hated Go.
"Ah Sasuke, you're here." Tsunade said "As I was just about to inform Sakura a mister Kuwabara Honinbo has specifically requested the two of you for a mission."
"What kind of mission Hokage-sama" Sasuke asks hoping for it to be at least something like getting rid of a bandit camp.
"I don't want you getting mad, remember your still on probation which means you can't turn down this mission, since you were specifically requested for it."
"I understand, Hokage-sama." While he said that Sasuke wondered what the mission would be if Tsunade was warning him not to get mad. He really hoped he wouldn't have to record a game of Go.
"He has requested for the two of you to record a game of Go for him"
"WHAT!!!!!" Sasuke yells, while wondering how the hell he got stuck with the worst possible mission. Hell, He'd rather have to single handedly catch Tora for a year than record a game of Go
" I said" Tsunade said, while trying to keep her temper "He has requested you to record a game of Go"
"And why," Sasuke asks, while fearing, for some unknown reason, the answer to this question "does he need me to do this? Why not get Shikamaru to do it"
"Well," Tsunade said "he says he needs you to do it because no one is allowed near the match and he needs you to record the match via your sharingan while simultaneously recreating it on a board so Sakura can make a kifu of the match"
"And why" Sasuke asks "does he need the match recorded by Shinobi"
"Because" Tsunade replied "no one can go near the board."
"Ok, but why" Sasuke asks " can no one go near the board"
"Because," Tsunade says as if it's the most obvious thing in the world "Leitbur wrote the rulebook and the rulebook says no one can go near the match."
----End Flashback no Jutsu----
Well Sasuke thought It could've been worse….. I could've had Naruto with me.
A/N: Something I thought up while reading chapter 47 of The Neverending Road by Leitbur
In the chapter Hikaru sees Sakura and Sasuke Recording a game of Go, and I thought it would be good writing practice to write why Sasuke and Sakura where there.(note most of the chapter is a dream sequence) i couldn't stop the ideas from flowing through my mind about why they were there, and I rarely ever write anything so I said "hey, Why not" and wrote it just after they appeared. didn't even finish the chpter before writing and uploading this.
