The Gru Family is going to the movies!
- "Please, please, please, please, pretty pleaseeeeee?!"
- "Ok, Edith. You go to classes and I'll try to get'em.", Gru replied.
She couldn't believe it. The tickets for her most anticipated movie were about to get sold and her only wish was to be the first one on line at the midnight release. There's nothing else she had in mind while on school.
-"Next question...Edith, who was involved in the Civil War?", the history teacher asked.
- "Captain America and Iron Man, of course!"
The whole class laughed at Edith's comment, but she didn't mind. The movie she was dying to see, "Captain America: Civil War", was everyday closer.
Later, she arrived home and started desperately looking for Gru. He and Lucy were at the kitchen. She slowly walked to him with a big smile, contrasting Gru's sad face.
-"I'm sorry kitten, they were all sold out..."
Edith's heart was broken. A little tear was about to come out of her eye as she turned around. But suddenly Gru giggled.
-"Don't be so cruel! Sweetie, they are sold out because your father bought them all for us and the Minions!", Lucy said.
-"Why?! I wanted it to be a surprise!"
-"She was about to cry and I'm not allowing that!"
Edith stopped listening to what they were saying, kissed them both on the cheek and took the tickets.
-"Thank you, thank you, thank you so much!"
After almost a month, the day had finally come. They watched the first two Captain America movies in the morning, Edith had them on Blu-Ray. The girls slept the whole afternoon so they wouldn't feel tired during the movie.
-"Everybody, time to go!", Gru said.
The family, of course, was divided. Gru was wearing an Iron Man costume while Lucy was going as Black Widow, they were team Iron Man. Edith was wearing a Captain America costume while Margo was going as the Scarlet Witch, they were team Captain America. Agnes was neutral, she didn't choose a side and put on a Spider-Man hoodie. Half of the Minions had a "#teamcap" shirt on, the other half had "#teamstark" shirts.
They arrived to the theater. The minions started singing the "Let's all go to the lobby" jingle. While waiting for the snacks, the family was discussing the movie.
-"...I mean, I'm pretty much Black Widow in my everyday life!", Lucy said.
-"I just wish I had Ant Man's suit, imagine the possibilities! And sure, I still have the shrinking ray, but it's a failure!", Gru said.
-"I just wanna see Chris Evans on screen, he's my crush!", Margo said.
-"While Cap is my favorite, I just can't wait to see Spider-Man! He's finally with the AVENGERS!", said a really excited Edith.
- "I don't understand why they fight. Can't they be friends again and fight the bad guys?", said a confused Agnes.
Just some minutes later, the moment came. The movie started. After a little more than two hours, the credits rolled. Everybody was cheering and applauding, but Edith told everybody to be quiet.
-"It's a Marvel movie guys, there HAS to be a post credits scene!"
Indeed there was. At the very end, they left the theatre and went back home. Everybody had a great time and while they all stayed on their 'teams', they did agreed on something: It was the family's new favorite movie.
