Story
Annabeths heart starts to race as she realized who just walked in the door. For her 16th birthday she decided to have a giant party and invited everyone she knew. Just now she realized that she is in over her head. It was Percy. Of course he would come. He knows everything. Probably because practically everyone at school is his friend. Her has a way of making you feel like the most important person in the world when he talks to you. His eyes were mesmerizing. Who knew eyes could be so attractive. His gorgeous dark untamed hair was messy as always. Annabeth quickly dodges into the kitchen to avoid his gaze. Panic grips her as she realizes if she talks to him the worst possible thing will happen. She'll blush so hard tomatoes will get jealous. Annabeth takes a deep breath and casually walk over to the buffet table. She grabs a cookie and heads towards the back door.
"Annabeth!"
Annabeth stops. Her heart does the same. The world stands still as she turns to face him.
"Happy birthday!" He says beaming that loveable grin.
Then he does the unthinkable.
Percy Suavely walks over to Annabeth and gives her a rib crushing hug.
The flood gates open and her face turns red as a beet. She could die right there of embaressment and be happy. Finally he steps back and puts his hands on her shoulders holding Annabeth at arms length.
"Oh my." he teases.
Annabeth figures she's in too deep to stop now.
"Percy..." she starts.
"I know." he interupts
They both lean in for a kiss.
Percy and Annabeth both hang out for the rest of the party. Inseparable. When everyone else has gone they both cuddle and watch netflix. It starts to rain. The pair go to sleep to the sound of rain bouncing off the roof and thunder crackling in the distance.
"Nothing could be better present than this moment." Annabeth thinks to herself as she drifts off into the perfect sleep, tangled in percy's arms.
