Calista-Cousland: As the summary said, this is a simple and short poem. In truth, I had to write a small poem for a class at school and decided to go with a topic I actually enjoyed writing about. Legend of Zelda was the way to go!(:
Disclaimer: I do not own Legend of Zelda.
Diminutive in purpose,
She looks on from afar.
Underneath her father's shadow,
She'll never be the star.
She leads her life by dictum,
Irked by her taciturn being.
An entity impotent,
She yearns for something freeing.
In public, she's an actress,
She's putting on a show.
Never a predilection to be imprudent,
Who she really is, they'll never know.
A diadem on her forehead,
Fancy attire on her back,
Estates to her name,
Yet there's something that she lacks.
In a foray to her entity,
A journey to her mind,
She'll greet you there cordially,
And you'll find that she's quite kind.
Vapid though she seems to be,
It truly is not so.
She's an erratic girl who's regular,
A paradox of her own.
Amiable to everyone,
She looks up to her delegation.
Although it seems unusual,
She is quick to aid her nation.
She'd never be contemptuous
To the country she belongs.
Ever so judiciously,
She forgives them for their wrongs.
Her speeches are short, yet meaningful,
With diction of the utmost proper.
Yet, she tries her hardest to relate
To even the lowest pauper.
Her decisions are never diverted
Through any evil thought
And when it comes to her desired hand,
Her love cannot be bought.
For in the crowd of peasants,
There is a special boy
Who assuaged her weary heart
And then brought to her joy.
She plans to someday concede
That she has fallen fast,
But seeing is believing
So she waits to see it last.
Longing for depth,
Her expounding knows no bound
Of logic to be treated
Equal to the young man crowned.
Most would say she's lucky,
But they know not of her distress,
Or how difficult it is to be
A misunderstood princess.
Calista-Cousland: Please take the time to review, if you wish! I am sorry for the small length of it.
