I think something this short would be called a drabble? I'm not sure about what to call it, but for me shorter means better. Moments are magic.

Hermione's sadness over Ron leaving them on the run in Deathly Hallows was largely overlooked, so here's my thoughts on it.

Absence

She definitely didn't want to admit it, but Ron leaving them had done more for her troubled thoughts than probably anything ever had. She cried for days, and the same thoughts kept running through her mind, like a broken record. It was terrifying, yet it was exactly what she'd always needed—a stab in the gut to wake her up.

I'm never going to see him again. He's going to die. They're going to find him and torture him and he might even die without being murdered. They're going to torture him so horribly that he's just going to die before they can kill him. He's going to die and I'm never going to get the chance to tell him I love him.

So?
