She used to tell him, back when they attended the academy together, that 'S' was her favorite letter. She'd smile, shyly fiddling with the hem of her dress, as she explained so to him. 'S', she always began, was such a pretty letter. The way it curved, and fit nicely between the lines on her paper pleased her.
He'd smirk, crossing his arms over his chest, 'Is that so?' He'd reply with the same comment everyday, always making her blush and take her seat. It was the never-ending ritual the two shared. Girl talk to boy, boy listin. Boy smirk, girl run away.
'S', he remembered her saying on one occasion, stands for Sasuke and Sakura. 'Hn' he'd replied differently that morning, picking up his pencil. 'Sasuke and Sakura stands for...' he'd prompted, slipping the paper under her nose, a smile forming on her lips. 'Infinity' he calmly stated. And he was, in fact, correct. If one were to draw the infinative symbol, two 'S's were needed to complete the sign. The two, Sasuke and Sakura, were needed to make a whole.
'Together forever' she'd agreed, holding the paper tight against her chest. A blush slowly stained her cheeks a sweet pink color, and she turned to take her seat. Their ritual, once again, normal.
He smirked, arms crossing. 'S' was his favorite letter as well.
