New York Isn't Home

"Casey?" I spoke into the phone, I was put on hold and after some rustling around, Casey was back on the line,

"Hey, baby. How are you feeling?" He asked. I lie on the bed, with my back to the side that Casey normally occupied.

Casey.

The one name that would cause my heart to twist and turn, and occasionally, stop.

He was very dangerous for my health.

"I miss you. There's no one to go get me ice cream in the middle of the night. Or to be with me in the morning when the baby decides to empty my stomach." I whined,

"Nice reasoning. And I know. I promise, I'll be home soon, and I won't have to leave again until way after the baby's born. Okay? I promise."

"Mmkay. How's everything there?" I inquired, resting a hand on the small baby bump.

"Boring. It's better at the office. And with you." He negativley stated,

"But you'll be home soon." I twisted my engagment ring so that it sat perfectly on my finger.

"Oh, but I already am." I stopped twisting, and sat, confused.

"No, you're not. You're on the other side of the United States. I wouldn't call that at home." I protested. Faintly, I heard a door unlock and open,

"Mh. I guess so." He responded, "Listen, I gotta get going, okay? Tell my baby I say hi." The bed carefully dipped, and a pair of familiar arms wrapped around me. "I love you." The voice whispered into my ear, and a smile graced both of our faces as I turned in his arms to kiss my week-long gone fiance.

Annnnd...that's the end! That's all I'll be able to post for today, and I can tell, this is gonna look WAY shorter when I post it. And it's only 491 words. I hope you guys enjoy this, and I wish you all a happy SK day! I hope you enjoy, and no. I don't own anyone...unfortunatly.
