Mr C Benoit, A Letter

This is a typed version of a letter i hand wrote to Chris Benoit shortly before tying it to a balloon and sending it to heaven for him to read.

Dear Chris Benoit,

As a young child I remember watching you and Eddie Guerrero in the ring, I was amazed.

As a 12 year old coming to terms with growing up, I remember watching you and Eddie in the ring, I learned to respect and understand you, I felt I knew you,

As a 15 year old coming to terms with the death of Eddie Guerrero, I was crying with you,

Now, as a 17 year old coming to terms with what you did, I am crying for you,

I don't believe you should be remembered for what you did to your family and ultimately what you did to yourself,

I believe you should be remembered for who you were, what you gave to your fans and what you did for wrestling,

I forgive you for what you did, something wasn't right that weekend and no one realized,

As a fan, I am praying for you,

I will remember you for the rest of my life, as I hope others will too,

Many thanks for all the years of cheers, joy and tears,

May God take you under his wing, fix your hurts and reunite you with Eddie,
