Infamous 2
Cole Vs Zeke: Evil Ending
The RFI hummed quietly as it rolled across the floor, illuminating the ground in blue before stopping. Soft footsteps were heard from opposite sides of the RFI. Zeke Dunbar stopped in front of the metallic sphere, his left hand tightly gripping his trusty magnum side-arm, before bending down with one arm extended; with a firm grip on the sphere Zeke stood up, straightened his back, his sun-glasses covered eyes briefly looked over the RFI before looking directly ahead.
Cole Macgrath stood a few yards away his eyes focused on the RFI in his ex-best friend possession. He brought his gaze on to Zeke; whose left arm was shaking. The two stared at each other in silence, the two reminiscing their past in internal anguish. They both knew one of them wasn't getting out of this confrontation alive.
Cole was the first to break the silence, "Half as long…"
"…Twice as bright…" Zeke continued a second later. He raised his left arm reluctantly aiming the magnum at his one time best friend. He slowly shook his head as he bit his lower lip, "I gotta try." He said, breathing erratically.
Cole too bit his lower lip standing almost casually. He didn't want to fight him. He and Zeke were best friends since they were children. But they went on different paths when Cole decided to help John White -the Beast that's been decimating America- in bringing humanity through an evolutionary jump.
"I know." Cole's tone was one of understanding, he knew why Zeke was doing this' and he didn't blame him. They used to be on the same side but now that had changed the moment Cole found out what John's plan was, and when Zeke decided to walk down the other path.
A thundering sound roared' a small flash of light and a puff of smoke ejected from the barrel of the Magnum. Cole felt the bullet penetrating his left shoulder; causing him to stagger from the unexpected force. He didn't give Zeke the satisfaction of hearing him grunt or cry out in pain, he held it in. Cole glared and raised his left arm. Red electricity raced up and down his arm, the bullet was pushed out of the wound and it quickly stitched itself up, leaving a small hole in his shirt.
Zeke quickly took aim and wrapped his finger firmly against the trigger, preparing to fire. But Cole was quick, and managed to get the second shot. The bolt of lightning's aim was true and collided with Zeke, causing his body to grow numb. He staggered before regaining his footing. Zeke slowly raised his side-arm. Cole let out another streaming bolt of lighting; Zeke's reaction time was betraying him making him slower to react. The bolt of electricity struck him in the chest pain exploded through his body making him fall to his knee.
Cole's breath caught in his lungs when he heard the pained gasps from Zeke's mouth. He almost smiled proudly at Zeke when he glared up at him in defiance. Cole inhaled. He closed his eyes. The third bolt shot out, connecting with Zeke's chest a third time. Dunbar's grip loosened, the pistol dropped to the ground with a loud metallic clatter, he fell back.
His vision dimmed.
Authors Notes: Hey Spyash2 here, to the fan's who know me I'm sorry I haven't been posting stories lately. College, coursework and all that shitty stuff is pretty much cramping on my story writing time. So this little story was my way of saying "I'm still here! Don't worry about me!"
As for those who don't know me, well, here's something I want to say: "Pleased to meet you!"
Spyash2 out!
