She had the oddest hair, but not odd in a bad or ugly way, just, odd.
In fact, he thought it suited her very nicely.
Although, how she got it into those ridiculous, bizarre swirls was beyond him.
The fire crackled, snapping the dragon-man out of his thoughts. The witch dozed quietly on his chest, her own rising and falling softly in a rhythmic pattern.
Chase looked down at her, smiling his little half smile.
It was a perfect scene; unfortunately, he was beginning to loose the feeling in his legs.
As he shifted on the couch, Wuya began to stir.
"Hm, Chase?"
"You fell asleep."
"Oh, sorry.."
She shifted off of him, and in her sleep induced haze, she ended up on the floor.
"whoops." She mumbled, pushing a loose strand of hair back behind her ear.
Chase stood, feeling the rush of blood reach his legs and cause the irritating prickling sensation.
"Where you going?" Wuya yawned, not bothering to cover her mouth.
"nowhere." He replied in the same lazy manner, before plopping down beside her.
"Oh, hello." She smiled, running her hand through her hair, causing chase to once more become hypnotized by the crimson locks.
"What are you staring at?"
"How did you get your hair like that?" he asked suddenly, twirling a strand around his finger.
"What, you mean these?" she said, motioning to on of her large swirls.
"Yes."
The witch woman blushed furiously, and looked away.
"Common, tell me!" chase whined, sounding like jack.
"Oh, well…."
"Please? I know it wasn't always like that, I can remember."
"It's a bit of a short, silly story…." Wuya admitted sheepishly.
"So?"
"Oh, alright fine. But I warn you, it's incredibly short."
"Fine by me."
"Well, it's Dashi's fault."
"Dashi?"
"Yes, Dashi. As the dragon of the wind, you know, he had most of the power of the sky, and in our finale battle, he used a lightning attack to distract me before he summoned up the puzzle box."
"Yes, as said in the old scrolls."
"Well, ehm, the bolt it's self missed, but I got hit by some of the free-flowing electricity, and it, sort of, shocked my hair into these ridiculous swirls. And I never really tried to ring them straight."
"That's it?"
"Yes."
Chase chuckled, causing Wuya to blush again and toss a pillow at him.
"See, I told you it was silly."
"Oh, don't be embarrassed. I think they suit you."
"Really?"
"Really."
"Well tomorrow I'm going to straighten them out if it kills me. Or, I could get Le mime to do it…."
Chase chuckled again.
"You odd woman."
