The Pied Piper
A voice like silk
better than any pipe
she could make rats
not only dance
but sing and leap and
anything she wants
she could make the children follow her
to the ends of the earth
she could make someone
she could make everyone
give her
...anything & everything...
she could be the Queen of the World
everyone bowing down before her
all below her
all worthless to her
all at the power of
the voice
YOU
and everyone else
would dance
and sing
and die
just to hear praise from
the voice
none could
none CAN avoid it
it traps you
like a snare
the voice
it could make you live
&and&
it could make you die
the voice
that voice
like
a ripple of air
a sea of silk
smooth
enticing
ohso lovely
a voice like butter
so seductive
you want to do
what it says
its a spell
no, a charm
(hers is even stronger even than the others
who possess the gift)
it keeps you
trapped
it lets you
free
the Pied Piper of Camp Half-Blood
she draws you in with
her smile
her independance
her beauty
but she can throw. you. out.
she can throw you out singing
she can throw you out smiling
she can throw you out happy
she can
and she WILL
naive little girl
naive little boy
don't be swayed by
the voice
she's no better than anyone
she's no better than you
(or me)
She tries to hide
that she isn't
(hell, she tries to hide that she thinks she is)
but its plain as day
it's plain as her
once you look past
the voice
of the Pied Piper of Half-Blood
So yeah, very Piper bashing. Maybe Drew is saying it?
I really like Piper. This just came to me, and I had to write it. And I'll admit - I love it. It is one of the best "crazy" poems I think I have written. If you are a Piper fan, try to look past who it is about.
Because if you do, you might like it. Or you might hate it with a fiery passion
Either way, I like it, and that's enough for me.
(BTW, this is a spin of The Pied Piper of Hamelin, if you didn't know. If you did, and it's kind of obvious, good for you!)
