Katara twisted her brown locks free of the water and replaced the white bathing suit she wore when bending with the Fire Nation outfit she was forced to where .
He entered the room with a expressionless look on his face. The banished prince took a bowl of soup Katara had fixed and strutted to his room without a acknowledgment to anyone. Today marked the 7th anniversary of his mother leaving , this day he hated the most . Sitting the bowl on his dresser , Zuko began to do a nameless amount of push ups. "48...49...50...5-" Zuko's pointless counting was interrupted by a soft liquidly kind of knock on the wooden,metal door. "what ?" Zuko's deep ,rough voice echoed in the shallow room. "Zuko , can i come in." Katara's melody voice came inching through the other side. "sure,come on in,but if you are going to say some stupid thing or insult me than no." Katara slithered in her hips swaying as she did. "did you need anything,Katara?" Zuko's gaze stayed on the scene outside. "Just wanted to know if you were alright." Zuko could detect worry in her voice. "Yeah, just great." Zuko sarcastically told the tan 16 year old girl. " no you're aren't ." the earth bending master ,Toph, called out to them while passing the shocked pair on her way to the main plaza,"you're lying Zuko." "ok well apparently if Toph caught you lying,whats really on your mind?" " i hate this day, i don't know,you wouldn't want to hear me complain anyway." "it depends on what you are talking about." Zuko's hard expressionless face melted away as he looked at the blue clear eyes of Katara. "today marks the 7th anniversary of my mom's banishing." Zuko found a lot of entertainment on the decorations in his current room,his eyes looking at everything, but Katara's sympathy ones. "don't worry ,you of course know that i lost my mother to the Southern Raiders." Katara whole heartedly grinned,giving Zuko one of her rare hugs as she did so.
