Percy fidgeted anxiously as he pulled Annabeth aside for a walk on the beach. He almost wanted to "accidently" fall in the water and get caught up in a conversation with a fish... forever. But, he knew this was the perfect time to do it. The war against Gaea ended about 1 month ago, and Leo had just made a triumphant return to Camp Half-Blood on Festus with Calypso. For that reason, the camp was celebrating like there was tomorrow.

Taking a deep breathe, Percy turned to face Annabeth and spoke, "Annabeth, um, we've been together for, what? Five years now. And I ju-" Percy let out a sigh. Hardly 10 seconds in and this was not going the way he planned, he expected this going way smoother. He wanted it to be memorable and romantic, this wasn't.

"Percy, whats wrong?" Annabeth inquired with a look of worry crossing her face. "Are you okay?"

"No, no. I mean, yeah." He rambled. "I'm fine. Just nervous."

"Why would you be nervous? No more Great Prophecies or fatal enemies, remember?" Then she cracked a smile and teased him, "Or did you forget with all that seaweed in your brain?"

"I'm nervous about something different." Percy confessed, then spoke up again before Annabeth could question what it was.

"Annabeth Chase," He knealt down and stared at Annabeths wide grey eys, "will you marry me?"

"Oh, my gods! Yes!" She exclaimed and kissed Percy affectionatley.

Grinning ear to ear, Percy slid the ring on her finger and murmured,

"I love you, Wise Girl."

"I love you too, Seaweed Brain."
