Conner and Me'gann leaned in closely, just inches away from kissing each other for the first time. This was their chance, all alone with no one who would remember seeing them this way. It would have been the most perfect moment between them, when they were suddenly interrupted. A low rumble shook the ground, and the two aliens looked up and were surprised when suddenly a large metal ball rolled up to them. Curiously, Megan turned to Conner and rose an eyebrow curiously.
"Can I-" The man was suddenly cut off by the ball speaking.
"I am Octus." It said, a light flashing on its surface.
The two looked at each other, and then at the robot once more in a very confused but intrigued way. Last they checked, this orb wasn't able to talk. However, they didn't have much time to think about how the orb worked. At that moment a blonde haired girl with freckles and a black haired boy with large eyes, walked up behind it. The four teens exchanged curious glances instead of introducing themselves, which they probably should have done first.
"Salutations! Sorry, he does this alot." The blonde girl said, bashfully bowing to them.
"What- Oh, Hello Megan! You're the guys from that show with robot armor that only had two seasons!" Megan said, a wide grin flashing across her face. "Oh, I just loved that show!"
The girl beamed in pride at the compliment, but then frowned when she turned to the dark haired boy beside her, who didn't seem to cheerful about their current situation as is. The boy just sighed in response, and looked very intensely off to the side as he lowered his eyes a bit in a thoughtful sort of way.
"The closest thing I've had to a dad in a while and... He wants to be in another show," He muttered in a soft voice. "Octus, you realize that this one had less episodes than us when it went on hiatus"
"At least they have toys." The robot said back. "I'm sorry, Lance."
The boy rolled his eyes and frowned a little bit at the comment. However, this self-loathing thing would have to be put on hold, along with the rest of their clip,, because moments later the robot blinked.
"The rift gate has opened." He said, and just then a giant frog like creature landed just yards away from them.
"Quick! Back to the bio-ship!" Megan yelled as Conner gathered her up and jumped away.
"Engage Sym Bionic titan." The robot said quickly, and soon Conner and Megan were flying back to the ship with the frog and titan following.
"Engage Sym Bionic butterfly net." The girl's voice said as a giant butterfly net appeared.
It took the Titan a few tries to catch and kill the frog, but most of the surrounding area had been destroyed in the process. The bio ship then showed up seconds later. The rest of the Young Justice members were watching in shock.
"That was fun." The robot said, blinking happily.
"Who are those people!?" Aqualad yelped, turning to face Conner and Megan "And who are you people?"
"It was nice meeting you, but we have our own show to get back to, are you coming Octus?" The blonde asked, ignoring Aqualad's questions.
"Nah, I'm supposed to be dead for the next episode and a half." The robot said in a calm tone. "So I think I'll stick around here for a little while."
"Alright, see ya." The boy said, waving to them all as he and the girl put on their armor and flew off.
"Who where those two?" Wally asked, watching them as they left.
"Friends." Megan answered as the robot rolled over to them suddenly, instantly catching Conner's attention.
"Can I keep it?"
