AN: So, this is kind of a sequel to Perfect Fit, but is the progression of Mako and Korra's relationship. I know it sucks. I don't know what is wrong with me, but I seem to be unable of decent writing at the moment. Please review.
To the guest who reviewed Perfect Fit, the question was originally "Why do you hate me," so that was the answer, but I will get around to changing that. Thanks.

Korra had always felt a connection to Katara, and until the waterbending master explained it to her, she had no idea what it signified. However, every time Katara would feel pain or anguish, a piece of Korra's soul hurt for her. Twelve years later, when she ran away to Republic City, her heart ached at the thought of leaving Katara behind. Aang was leaving his love again, but Korra knew that hers lay in Republic City.
The first time Korra met Mako, her heart thumped in her chest. She chalked it up to the excitement of meeting pro-benders, and being at the pro-bending arena, and being in Republic City. Of course, the handsome firebender didn't hurt matters- until he opened his mouth. Crazy fangirl, he called her. But then, sweet victory when the jerk realized that the Avatar was standing in front of him.
When she met Asami for the first time at the gala, her heart broke. The love that she didn't even realize was building up inside her was crushed. Korra had heard the tales of the Avatar's only falling in love once during their lifetime, but even she didn't realize that it had struck her already. Of course, with Aang falling in love at twelve, maybe it was a trait to fall in love young.
The kiss was all Korra had hoped for, and so much more. Her heart was piecing itself back together, and she was melting in the warmth that she felt. When she pulled back, perfection was in front of her. However, when she saw Bolin, the walls that she just let down came crashing back up.
While trapped in Tarrlok's basement, all she could think of was Mako. Was he coming to rescue her, was he thinking of Asami, did he think of the kiss at all? When he lifted her –oh, so gently –into his arms, it felt right. And she fit right with him.
She saw Amon preparing to steal the bending of the man she loved. Nothing mattered in that instant, and all instinct she possessed as an Avatar came to light with that punch. She airbended, but it paled in comparison to the fact that he was safe.
When they kissed again on the cliff, it was perfection. And it was fitting. The same place that the heartbreak over leaving Katara was felt ended up being the same place where she found her soul mate. And Korra felt the thousand voices in her heart singing with joy at the feeling of someone made to fit perfectly with her.
