Sharpies and Spray Paint
~Prologue~
Club Gaijin was so alive that night. Everyone was moving with the beat of the music. Suji couldn't keep the smile off of his face. Well, until he noticed a young female walk in. She looked around Gaijin, her eyes seeming to be hypnotized by the bright lights and bodies dancing close together. He only chuckled when he noticed a few scrubs go up to the young lady and start to flirt with her.
As the party started to wind down and Suji started to end the music, the girl was still there, sitting at the bar and still admiring the club. When everything was done, Suji slowly made his way over, a warm and friendly smile on his face.
"Konnichiwa!" he greeted happily, catching her attention. She looked up at him, her hazel eyes locking with his dark blue ones. "How are you?"
"Fine, thank you," she replied softly, "How are you?"
"I am well!" That's how it all started. Suji led her out of the club, both deeply immersed in their conversation about Havalynd. The girl, Rabbit as she went by, had told him she was new to San Paro after being rejected by her family for her love of a certain art style. He asked her why they hated it, and smiled when she replied with: "Graffiti. They hate that I practice graffiti."
They got into it that night, both talking about their views on the whole thing. Art or vandalism? Hell, Suji didn't really care. He liked it, to be honest. She had told him she took up graffiti to show the world that it wasn't just people putting up their name, or their gang signs. She wanted to show the world that graffiti wasn't limited to that. She wanted to show the world that some people had true talent, and that they were just making the town or city come alive with colors.
They talked about a lot of things that night. Their home town, family, old schools and friends, whatever came to mind. They walked throughout Havalynd, Suji happily leading the girl back to the hotel she was resiting in until she found a way to earn money. And upon getting to that topic, he finally asked her if she knew any of the gangs, whether it be the criminals or the enforcers. She only shook her head, and he smiled. He explained to her all he wanted to know. She listened with complete interest, finding it all fascinating. His smile could only grow larger when she said that the enforcers had to go. Right she was, he happily thought. And the more he told her about the enforcers, the more she didn't like them. The war the criminals fought against the enforcers sounded as though it was those damned cops that started it.
Suji walked Rabbit up to her room, smiling when she unlocked the door.
"It was very nice meeting you, Rabbit," he spoke, smile never fading. She could only match it when she turned back to look up at him.
"It was nice meeting you, too, Suji," she replied, "I hope I'll see you again!"
"Hai! I would like that!" He liked this girl. The vibe he got was perfect. Innocent looking, yet she suppressed a burning, white-hot rage. She had style, the personality when known. Effigy would love her for sure. So would Jeung and the others. "How about we do something tomorrow? We can go to the waterfront!"
"Sure! I like the sound of that!" They exchanged numbers that night, Rabbit giving him a sheepish smile and saying goodbye quietly. He just smiled, giving her a hug and leaving. As he walked out of the hotel and into the chilly night, he continued to smile and walk proudly. Yes. Tomorrow would be a wonderful event.
