Ace POV

I could feel the blood flowing from the wound onto the dusty ground under me. I couldn't move thanks to the pain that engulfed my whole body every time I try to breathe. My blood stained hand trying to stop the flow coming from my chest did nothing at all I can still see the endless bloodstream coming from me even with my blurred vision that was dotted badly with black things. 'Stupid fucking bastards of marines.' I hissed with venom flooding at the thought of the fucking kiss ass marines. The sea

stone cuffs clinked together sounding the very reason for the blood as my hand barely moved trying to stop the blood. 'They didn't even give me mercy they left me here to bleed to death, and the villagers aren't better either.' I looked around to see a couple od heads poking out of windows and doors but soon disappeared when my eyes landed on them. 'At least they know to be scared shitless of me.' I thought bitterly as my eyelids start feeling heavy. I can feel the darkness of death gripping and clawing at me trying its hardest to get me to give up on the life I have. 'Any other day I would have let it go but I had a crew and a family to go back to. 'I can't let it win.' I thought determined but I have no strength to re-open my them, but I don't give up I keep playing the memories and the reason why I fight. I can see my younger brother smiling at me as well as the rest of my family congratulating me on my new position as second commander. Laying here and waiting for something or someone to help me or just kill me felt endless and more tiring than fight to stay alive. Like prays being answered I hear the sound of sets footsteps coming closer me quickly before they stopped next to my head. 'Please me?' I begged in my head disgraced at the thought of them just leaving me to die a slow and painful death that the fucked up marines had sentence me to. The train of thought suddenly stopped in my head as two cold digits were placed against my neck looking for any sign that I'm still alive. I wanted to scream and yell at them that I'm alive and not to leave me. 'Damn boy won't respond at all.' I cursed loudly in my head not helping at all. I was yet again dragged away from the train of thought of a voice rang loudly in my head making the throbbing double in a couple of seconds.

"Captain. He's still alive." I felt cold fingers leave his skin and more footsteps came into my hearing but they seem to be a bit faster than the previous foot steps. The voice that I heard earlier spook up again along with another voice. I tried to define the voices but soon it all became white noise that blended together and I could only pick I a few words that were spoken.

"Dying…blood…Fire Fist…" 'Wait are they talking about me?' I strains ears to only catch what sounded like the end of the conversation and more foot steps moving around me.
"Bepo grab him." Someone order making me guess he was someone with a bit of power probably the captain that the guy was calling out to earlier.
"Aye aye Captain." I feel myself getting picked up by who I could only guess was Bepo. I felt my body being leave the moist dust covered ground. I hoped that it was moist from water or something else anything other than my blood but I knew better the stream of blood I saw would have easily covered the whole ground in seconds. Fluffy hands gripped me with caution as not to hurt me or give me any more pain than I already have, not that I could give any sign that I was in pain. The person holding me walked quickly as the sound of footsteps faded from me, I felt my body finally relax and I drifted of into the unknown abyss which was unusual. I never relaxed unless I was with my brothers and father. Even then I'm still a little on the edge, but here I was dying and relaxing into the fuzzy hands that your gripping me gently. 'Amazing what death can do to you.' I smiled to myself since I body has given up on me as the last thought drifted out of my mind. 'Thank you.'

Law's POV:

Walking down the boring street in a west blue is nothing to be proud or boast about. We dock here about a couple of days ago leaving time to get supplies which we finished getting now and time and relax. My crew where carrying the boxes filled with supplies that had to feed and if needed heal 15 people of my rather large submarine. Bepo carrying my nodachi was walking next to as my first mate and best friend, with Penguin and Sachi a bit a head of us how where my other friends and one of the only people I fully trust besides Lilly. I sighed and moved my thoughts on from Lilly to what was happening around us, which was absolutely nothing at all. My crew are growing restless quite quickly and even I'm getting annoyed by the lack of marines to fight If you could even call it that. The towns people where to scared to come near or try anything on us at all not exactly surprising to say since I had a high bounty for a 'Beginner' pirate, I was shaken from my thoughts as Penguin called me making look head more. I could see him and Sachi kneeling next to something which was covered in blood making me concluded that it was most likely a dying or died body.

"Captain! He's still alive." I picked up my pace and arrived at the barley alive body on the ground surround by blood which looked like he tried to stop from the bloody hand covering the wound in his chest. Not overly huge but enough to say it was cause by a close range bullet. I looked down to see a body lying on the dirty ground probably infecting and irritating the wound more than the pain of the hole in his chest. Blood and dust mixed together to make bloody mud all around his body and staining his partly tanned skin and Penguin's and Sachi's boiler suits. 'Lilly isn't going to be impressed about this.' I kneeled down next to the body getting my own hoodie and pant covered in blood as Penguin looks up from the crouching position next to the dying male.
"He seems to be dying from blood lose." Moving more over next to Penguin I examine the body to see if the bullet hole in his chest is the only thing wrong. He's hair down and clumped together with the bloody mud which has made an inferno halo around his head. He wasn't wearing a shirt making it easy to check the rest of his body. His slow rising chest was one of the only was the only in indication that he was still alive besides the pulse which Penguin most likely checked before calling me over. Frowning at the man lying in front of me my mind started going though all the possible scenarios leading to such a strong man dying on the ground. The seastone chain made it obvious to why his devil fruit didn't let the bullet past though like most logia fruit users would, but how did they get it on him. 'Why is Fire Fist-ya here? It wasn't like they just walked up to him and asked politely and he agreed willingly' Shaking the thought from my head I turned to my crew I ordered them to bring the supplies to the submarine before turning to Penguin, Sachi and Bepo who where all still next to Fire Fist-ya unlike myself who was standing away from the seastone cuffs.
"Fire Fist-ya. Hmmm this could be quite fun." I let my infamous smirk slip across my face. "Bepo grab him." O ordered my talking bipolar polar bear to grab the male as Penguin and got Sachi slowly got up and I picked up my Nodachi from Bepo as he grabbed the young male. The sub wasn't far away from where Fire Fist-ya was dying making the little trip quick. We moved quickly towards it as ace groaned every now and then but was completely knocked out other wise. I stopped and looked at the ground back, next to my feet was an orange hat that sat in the sun covered in dust and mud. 'The wind must have taken it away from him.' My eyes quickly flickered to Fire Fist-ya before looking at the hat again. 'Lillian should be able to fix the hat.' I snatched it from the ground and ran to the sub again with my nodachi leaning against my shoulder as I arrived I handed it to one of my crew members before ordering the sub to go submerge.

Normal POV:

When Law stepped though the door of the sub and handed over his nodachi to a member of his crew before ordering the crew to prepare to submerge a young girl walked out of the laundry catching Law's eye from his peripheral vision. "Lilly." Said girl turned, a smile crossed her face but soon left when she saw blood all over his hoodie. "Law! I just washed your hoodie. Why are you covered in blood?" She stopped her rant and sighed knowing that fighting with e captain would do nothing but get her in trouble and no one wanted that. For god sakes he was called the fucking dark doctor for a reason. "Pass the hoodie and I'll clean it now even though I just had to soak Penguins and Sachi's boiler suits as well. Did something happen while you where out?" She put out her hand trying to figure out if something did happen why there wasn't more noise outside or any noise. The only noise that the sub heard for a while was the thundering footsteps of the crew brings back the supplies, but instead of a bloody hoodie a blood soak hat was placed in it making the blood ran down her hand and arm before splashing on the ground under it. Lilly looked at the hat before her eyes widen in surprise. "Hey wait isn't this Fire Fist Ace's hat? Law why do you have this?" She looked him in the eye waiting for an answer. Her grey eyes looked stern and hard not giving in and waited for Law to give her some information instead of being silent, she loved Law dearly and she knew that he loved her just as much or even more so it didn't become a surprise that Law sighed and gave in. Law had hundreds of thoughts running though his mind but seeing the face that Lilly was pulling made them all stop at once. He took a deep breath looking into her crystal like eyes and smiled to himself. 'What we do for love.' He thought and started to explain what had happened when they went to get the rest of the supplies.
"Because we found him dying in the streets, we brought him to the sub to fix him patch up the hole in his chest thanks to a bullet. Now would you please clean his hat? I'll give you my hoodie later." Lilly nodded seeing that Law really had to go to the infirmary, her eyes changed from stern to understanding before taking the hat and walking back into the laundry that she loathed, but not before she hugged and kissed Law goodbye before heading into the room she loathed the most. The laundry. After watching the girl leave, Law rushed towards the infirmary ignore the warnings going off around him telling the whole submarine that it was submerging. Walking into the infirmary he saw Fire Fist lying on one of the beds with most of the equipment set up ready for Law. He grabbed a pair of latex gloves and put them on getting everything else he needed ready that the crew didn't know he needed. The infirmary door opened and Law didn't bother looking as he knew who it was. The only person that could get away from his wraith and bring the best out of him all the time and the only person he would aloud to do surgery with him as a nurse. Lillian walked in grabbing another pair of gloves and got the rest of the stuff the Law hadn't gotten ready yet. Lilly walked around in her nurses uniform and with a snap she put on the gloves.
"I thought you were cleaning the hat I gave you or do you like disobeying my direct orders Lilly?" He asked as he and Lilly placed the rest of the equipment onto trays and a trolley before rolling it over to the surgery bench where Fire Fist lied motionless in front of them.
"And leave all the fun and work to you? What type of Nurse would I be plus we both know you aren't going to hurt me in any way." She said stepping up beside Law who placed the gloves on the a snap similar to that Lilly had but louder. "I'm letting the hat soak and put Sachi in change of the laundry since you also gut his boiler suit dirty. He wasn't all the impressed when he saw the state of the hat and suits. I'll fix the rest of it after." She had smiling at Law who nodded in return and grabbed the mask the Lilly held out for him. Both surgeons/nurse got ready for a long surgery a head of them.

Three hours stressful hours later both Lilly and Law exited the infirmary tired from the long and challenging surgery. Since Ace had the seastone cuffs on they had to get that off or it would have weakened Law which meant they had a bit of fire problem as times and other times the cuts they made healed making both doctors angry and annoyed.
"Law you should sleep. I know you haven't been sleeping well for a couple of days. I'll stay here for when he wakes up and when he does I'll send someone to get you, or ring you up." Law nodded he knew there was no arguing with Lilly especially with the concerned face she had on. Any and everyone would cave instantly when faced with that face.
"Thanks, but make sure you do ring me as so as he awakens." Law instructed and kissed Lilly on the check and hugged and whispering that he loved her. Lilly smiled and hugged Law back she said goodnight and re-entered the infirmary smiling to herself as she did.

About ten minutes after Law had left and Lilly re-entered Sachi walked into the infirmary.
"Oh hey Lilly. I would have thought Law would be here." Sachi placed the hat on her desk but still had the hole in it but a needle and thread. "I cleaned the hat and our boiler suits but I can't sew the hole together and Kath is navigating and Casey is busy with cleaning the kitchen and I didn't bother asking the others as we both know they mean well but they would destroy the hat in the process if trying to fix it." Sachi laughed as well as Lilly since they both knew that it was sadly true the girls on the ship where the only ones that could sew and Law but he doesn't sew materials but people.
"I sent him to bed. Why? Where you looking for him? Knowing him he is probably still up." Sachi walked over to Lilly who was seating next to Ace and had finally stopped laughing and was looking at Ace again with a grim look that didn't match their usual cheerful mother like resident of the submarine.
"Nah I was just surprised. So how is the wedding planning going?" Sachi pulled up a chair and sat next to Lilly who looked up in surprise, but smiled either way making Sachi smile as well knowing that she was smiling again.
"Good we have everything besides the date." She laughed and played with her engagement ring on her left finger. It was sliver contrasting against her skin with a sapphire in the middle and two small diamonds on either side of the lager gem. She looked at Ace her smile faded yet again. "You know he doesn't deserve all he trash and trouble he gets from the marines just because of who his father is." Sachi looked at her smiling he hugged her trying to comfort her but he knew it was hard especially for her.
"We know, but those marines are fucking bastards. I'm going to bed now, but If you want to change with someone Penguin and I are up for it." Lilly smiled again and hugged Sachi back thanking him for the offer.
"Night. Tell Penguin I said goodnight as well and I won't disturb your sleep. You both need sleep as much as Law does. If you keep over working yourself you're going to collapse when we need you the most." Smiling she shooed him out the door like a mother sitting down she played the waiting game with Ace.

Two days later~

Lilly could feel her eyes growing heavy and slowly dropping. 'I guess that's what you get for staying up for two days in a row.' She thought as her body felt terrible and like it was going to crash on her. Many times both Penguin and Sachi tried to switch so she could sleep but she politely declined them as Law worked with Kath to figure which island they where going to next. She looked at Ace and groaned, two days and Ace's condition hasn't improved yet not even a tiny bit besides that the heat from his body was back to inhumanly. Sighing she put her plate down which she had only just finished eating off and walked over to the sink grabbing a face wash to get rid of the sleepiness that was slowing clawing its way through her and was sadly wining. She did this more than once but and longer and never felt this bad but she also like the other three had trouble sleeping at night. Putting the face wash down she heard a moan coming from Ace's bed Now alert and fully awake she turned to Ace.
"Huh? What...where am I? Why am I covered in bandages?" Lilly quickly walked over to the patient and pushed up slowly down when he tried to get up. He didn't need to upset the stiches in his chest so she and Law can work ages on then again.
"Hey there. Please be careful. Law and I didn't spend three hours for you to open the stiches. You are on the Heart pirates' submarine and to be more specific the infirmary, and to why you're covered in bandages you had a huge hole in your chest from a bullet that was from the marines." They got the bullet out of Ace and gave it to Nathan the weapons expert on the ship and they concluded that is was a marine bullet. "If Law hadn't found you you would have been died in a couple more minutes no doubt. You should thank him when you see him next. So how are you feeling?" Lilly seat down next to him, grabbing a pen and clipboard ignoring Law's order to get him straight away, plus it was only a couple of questions that Law hated doing at times.

Ace looked the girl up and down whilst answering her questions. She had Midnight blue hair reaching her knees tired loosely at her mid back so it swishes behind her when she walks or moves when asking the question putting stuff and grabbing other stuff there. She was wearing a traditional nurse outfit without the hat much to Ace's surprise much like the nurses on Moby Dick. It was Yellow with brown spots on the bottom with a jolly roger on her left breast which Ace had assumed was the Heart pirates jolly roger since she mentioned that it was there ship or submarine. She had black glasses on that complaint her grey eyes and tan skin that darker than his lightly tanned skin. 'Must be natural.' He thought since they where most likely stuck in this most of the time. By the sounds of her questions Ace had no doubt that this girl was well trained with medication sadly better than those on Moby Dick. 'Maybe she can help us.' He thought still answering questions that she tossed at him. Finally Ace answered the last question, the girl smiled at him making Ace think the girl looked very beautiful for her age, but he knew she was taken he could see the wedding ring on her finger.
"So what's your name?" She knew his name so why couldn't he know her name. Her smile widened a tad showing the sign of joy that he was talking and well. Lilly thought I was only far and nodded her head to him.
"Lillian. Trafalgar Lillian."
