Nice and Predictable
The sun was rising over the red tiled roofs when Heero embraced her from behind. Leaning back into his muscle packed frame, Hilde's eyes still rested on the sunrise, a cup of life enduring coffee in her hands.
Nuzzling against her neck, kissing down her skin, still soft from the blistering shower she had just had. Smiling she shifted in her heavy terry toweling bath robe. It was heavy and dampy, but it kept her covered.
They were on a balcony, but they had met here in a hallway. He had found her leaning against the wall in an alcohol induced haze, smiling cheerily at the light above, a bottle of rum in one hand talking to a picture of a parakeet.
He had taken her back to her room, in this cheap hotel, in the shadow of a great bridge. She had seduced the socks off him.
Leaning away from his warm prescence she sat on one of ricketly chairs, gesturing for him to do the same. He smiled indulgently, hair mussed from their night together.
Sitting down, he stretched, bare chested and wearing only pyjama bottoms. He needed a shower, but she could live with that.
"I had a nice time..."
Laughing warming he raised an eyebrow, "Nice, Hilde?"
She stared at him above her coffee cup's rim, "Yeah, nice, Heero."
"Well, I had a nice time too."
"That's good."
"Yes it is."
"Hmmm..."
"Hn..."
"Why are you in Italy anyway? I thought, that is Duo had told me you were on L5, with Relena? Yes? It's kind of strange that we would meet."
"I was on L5 and with Relena, but I decided to take a holiday. Italy seemed like a nice place."
"And I had nothing to do with it?" She asked archly.
"Duo had mentioned it to me..."
"Ah, he sent you didn't he?"
"No, I came of my own free will. I wanted to come to Italy, once I knew you were here." He shrugged, "Plus if I don't use up my holiday weeks, I lose them, it's not necessary to waste."
"How romantic."
"I wouldn't have chosen Italy if you hadn't been here, Hilde."
"Now, that's so sweet!" She giggled and reached between him to give him a quick peck on the nose. "Sometimes Heero you surprise me."
"I don't like being predictable."
"Show me, if you will."
He smiled, and led her inside.
