Stereo skipped along the path of Route 25, Old Rod slung over her shoulder and an anticipating grin on her face. She tossed a Gameshark in her paw as she called back to her Pokémon.
"This Gameshark's really gonna help us now, Damsel!"
Damsel, the Ninetales, shook her head and padded behind her trainer. "I don't know, Stereo...I heard there could be problems if we use it. Didn't you ever hear of the person who used it to create unlimited Master Balls? Apparently, his backpack kept overflowing with them, and they wouldn't stop...Even after his house exploded!"
Stereo laughed and tapped Damsel on the head with the Rod. "Who told you that nonsense?"
"Kamonegi did."
"Kamonegi?" The fox girl's laugh grew louder, "That crazy Farfetch'd of mine must know every urban legend in the world!"
Damsel shrugged upon the thought of the story being truth or rumour, then continued walking. "Either way, I have a bad feeling about us using the Gameshark to get a Mew. Now I feel guilty that my trainer is cheating with a Gameshark! That's even worse than that MissingNo problem that everyone seems to cheat off of!"
As the Ninetales was finishing her lecture, Stereo was already sitting at the riverbank baiting the hook of the Old Rod. Her Pokémon sighed and sat down beside her without saying another word. Several seconds passed before the line shook wildly. Stereo shot up and hauled the line in. When she did, she didn't get a Mew, but a Mew in a Magikarp suit!
"Magikarp! Karp karp karp karp..." The Mew uttered as she flopped around on the grass.
There was an awkard silence between Stereo and Damsel until the Ninetales grinned slightly and spoke, sounding almost like Kamonegi. "Well, there's your 'Mew'! You gonna catch it or what?"
Stereo sighed and pointed to the flopping Mew. "Fine, fine. Damsel, attack!"
"Body Slam!" Her Pokémon lept into the air and smashed the Mew against the closest tree. It was now the Mew's turn to attack, but instead of launching a powerful Psychic attack like her opponent expected, she just flopped around again. Damsel unleashed stream of flames with her Ember Attack, bringing the Mew down to her last remaining Hit Points. The Mew did her useless Splash once more.
"Okay Damsel, I've got her!" Stereo tossed the Ultra Ball at the Mew. In no time, she was caught.
Damsel groomed herself and glanced at Stereo, who was holding the Ball containing the Mew up in the air. "Well, we got the Mew...err...Magikarp...I think. What're you going to name it, Stereo?"
Stereo let the Mew out of the ball and reached to remove the Mew's Magikarp suit, but her hand got slapped away by the flipper-covered paw. "I know what to name it!"
"What?" Ninetales turned her head to one side and blinked her crimson eyes.
Stereo held the Mew above her head with a huge smile. "I'll name her Magikarp!"
^_^ The End ^_^
