can never fade away: The Saki Saga: The Cloud and the pool"Come on Cloud," Said a not overly exited Tifa "you said that you had to do this". Cloud just walked away silently "We all have to be there even poor Red" Tifa answered his silence and walked to him. Kissing him on the cheek she looked into his glowing eyes and now she saw not the cocky stare of his eyes but an afraid look which made her worry and him. "You two lovebirds ready" Barret butted in at the right moment "You know she is waiting for us" Cloud grabbed his sword by the handle. "We ready, when you are" he said worried, he moved to see the window over looking the city where he lay her to rest. "Well we go then" Barret yelled "She would hate to see you worried Cloud" with that Cloud pushed Barret out of the way and started to walk to the little piece of water were Aeris lay in her resting place.
When he got there he was surprised to see a face or rather a claw, which he had not seen for a while; he was planting a small flowerbed on the bank of the lake. "There I think this is more fitting" Vincent said "I saw them in a church and thought it would be nice for you to see them." He started to walk off and floated high on to the mountains above the city. "I now have to find her, I must find my true love" he thought to himself "It just where to start looking." Cloud watched him until he was out of sight and then went to the water's edge "We are alone again" he said hoping that Aeris would raise from the depthes and would say that she was ok. He walked to the garden Vincent planted. It was a great garden as it had all the colours of the rainbow and looked as if it was one. He must have been watching the glaring pool, which looked as if it was laughing at him, for hours.
He then suddenly felt a hand on his shoulder followed by him seeing a very depressed Red. "He not well Cloud" Tifa said hugging him "He misses Aeris the most out of all of us." Cloud started to walk back to the Highway when an old friend showed his face. "Cloud good to see you" he said, "I have hoped we would meet at a better time but…" Cloud looked at him and asked "How do you know me?" Cloud's thoughts were on Aeris and her long brown hair which use to make Cloud crazy and that night at the Golden Saucer. "I'm Zack" he said, "You don't remember." Cloud looked at him again and thought back to when he first saw Midgar that rat-infested city which they tried to get people out of. "Zack?" Cloud said hugging the man "Is that you?" Cloud did not get a reply but Zack pointed upwards into the sky.
Everyone looked at what seemed to be a shooting star with a long black tail, like the tail of a viper it did not move in a straight line. "What that?" they all asked looking like they had seen a ghost. "I dunno know" Cloud said "But we going to find out."
"I with you to" Zack said "This time I want to be out there fighting evil." Everyone loaded his or her things into the Highway "Off to kill some poor bastard are we?" Cid said. Cloud nodded wishing that Vincent were with them to help. Red slowly walked up to Cloud and Cid with a tear in his eye like a river it flowed out of his eye and on to the brown sun scorched ground around his feet. "I have decided to stay here to defend Aeris' body" he told them "I owe it to her and Cosmo is safe with my father around." Cloud looked around to seek any advice but everyone was to busy telling him to get on the Highway "I guess it is ok" he whispered to Red "Keep her safe for me." With that he boarded the Highway and waved bye to Red.
